Whiskey anyone?

Featured Replies

I seem to have developed a taste for good, taxed liqueor.... Really like Maker's Mark for a regular old evening drink.... With a little splash of well water to open it up.

Special occasions got to say Knob creek or Woodford reserve....

Any other whiskey drinkers on the forum?

Just Jack for me sir.  Nothing beats a hard jack and coke!

Then there is my home made Jackonade recipe:

In one pitcher:

2 12oz sprites

24 ozs water (measure with sprite can afterward)

2 large pouches of country time lemonade

Whatever amount of jack gives you the kick

My friend and I used to kill a 750ml every Saturday night with this.  Doesn't hurt in the morning either... it's nice!  Try it out!

I like Maker's Mark and Woodford Reserve. I took a tour of the Woodford reserve distellary a couple years ago. Very small operarition, quite interesting tour. After the tour you get to sample their bourbon in the gitft shop area. I have tried Knob Creek, did not care for it. It is owned Jim Beam. I believe it is their small batch bourbon.

I drink "em just like they make "em.

No water, no ice, and for darn sure no friggin soda pop

Good ol' Jim Beam. Wait... I'm not 21.

Makers on the rocks for me.

I've tried all the more expensive single barrel bourbons but always come back to Makers. Sometimes I enjoy a bit of McCallans scotch.

Wild Turkey...No cups or mixers needed.

I tried a bottle of Eagle Rare for my 21st b-day and I enjoyed it. A bit pricey, but not as expensive as Woodford. I mean to try Woodford soon.

Always been a Jim Beam kinda guy.Either rocks or with ginger ale.

Big whiskey drinker here.

I've had everything from Bourbon to Irish to Scotch to Japanese.

What i've tried...

Eagle Rare--Not anything special.

Woodford Reserve--Very nice, I'm cherishing my bottle.

Pappy Van Winkle--The best that money can buy. Made just down the road near Frankfort. This one does need a splash of spring water. Otherwise the strength drowns the taste.

Here in KY, Jim Beam is a mixing bourbon, only for bourbon balls and Whiskey and Cokes. We don't take it too serious.

I also have a nice bottle of 12 yr Laphroaig Single Islay Malt Scotch. It is so nasty it is good. I like Johnny Walker, it is very smooth but I don't own a bottle currently.

I've got two bottles of Suntory Japanese that I am saving for a special occasion. I had a lot in Japan but these bottles were hand delivered afterward.

and give me a hit of that crack rock while we are at it  :-O

I can't believe alcohol is legal, or that marijuana is not {I wouldn't recommend that to anyone either, but it's certainly not as bad as alcohol}. Alcohol is absolutely the most destructive "drug" on the planet. It's too bad prohibition didn't work.

The best high, is the wide open adrenalin rush, of sticking a big one :-)

PS, It cracks me up when I hear the term "drugs 'and' alcohol" ..... Huh ? Alcohol IS a drug, in every sense of the word.

Okay..... I'm better now :-)

Peace

I'm with this guy on this one. 8-)

How about a big, fat, chocolate Malt  ;-) Tastes WAY better, plus you can "legally" drive yourself home afterwards :-)

Peace,

When I do drink it is split between Wild Turkey and Makers Mark.  In enjoy both it alot depends on what I have or what is behind the bar at the Resturant.

When I drank, it was either Glenlivet, Wild Turkey 101, or Glenfiddich 12 year.

Minus the wild turkey, and substitute Jeremiah Weed.  A glass on occasion is great but never something I could drink all night ;)

I dont mind a good bourbon with a good cigar now and then.

Bookers ,Knob Creek,Bullit are pretty good.

I usally drink Capt+Coke when I'm having a beverage.

I wish I could go back to my old Crown days but I can't. Only allowed a little red wine nowadays.

Not old enough yet, and im going to try and be alcohol free!
