UFO's

Distance is a problem. Even aliens with technology to freeze

themselves and travel at the speed of light can't get here very

fast. How or why would they target earth?

The closest galaxy is Andromeda, 2.5 million light years away.

I suspect all UFOs are experimental, next generation airforce prototypes.

The Stealth Bomber would be a recent example. Anytime it was seen by

non-military personnel, it was reported as a UFO. The top secret classificiation

of these prototypes results in "no comment" from our security forces.

The SR-71 Blackbird is probably the most famous UFO. Denied for more than

a decade, this plane is/ was the fastest ever developed, significantly

"faster than a speeding bullet".

8-)

RD, Do you know how fast Ludicris speed is? Its alot faster then the speed of light.

Yes they are.

I see things all the time flying that I dont know what they are. Sometimes it is a bird but I dont know what kind. Some times its a jet I have no clue what kind. Some times i instantly dodge the paper wad. ;D

Once on an EMS response with law enforcement we saw something  :-?

We don't talk about it

I honestly doubt that if Aliens have the technology to get here that they are traveling at the speed of light. A more efficent means of traversing the universe would be VIA Worm holes. As for your statement why target earth, well for one there is life here, and secondly we have achieved a dgree of space travel. Therefore making us a species that would require further and more substantial study.

"They've gone plaid!"   ;D

I was wondering who would catch that. ;D

Clarence "Kelly" Johnson team leader of Lockheed's Skunk Works started work on the SR-71 in the late 50s; the USAF received its first SR-71 in December 1962. The USAF admitted that throughout the entire 60s and well into the late 70s the SR-71 was responsible for 83% of all UFO sightings world wide.

As for being faster than a speeding bullet; Kelly Johnson if it were armed and the pilot fired the weapon he would shot himself in the a _ _.

On July 28, 1976 Capt Eldon W Joersz in a SR-71broke the first absolute speed record by flying at  2,193.167 miles per hour and added an another world record for absolute altitude record of 85,068.997 feet.

I think they might be.

I highly doubt that we are the only planet with sufficient life forms on it. Like others have said, there are many other galaxies and what not, what's the chances of us being the only planet. I always wondered what is on them planets though, are they like us, are they in the stone age, do they have more advanced technology than us?

And my most pondered about question.......Do they fish? What's their waters like? What's their equipment like? How good are they? How big are their fish? What do their boats look like?  :-/ :-/ :-/

Personally i think they exist. Ive seen some stuff that i know for sure wasnt a plane or helicopter in the sky. However one thing i always wonder about is why they say that they need water to have life. i understand that we need it on earth but is it not possible that on another planet there is something else that is needed for life?

Why would they travel 2,000,000,000 light year just to stay here for 2 second? Don't make no darn sense.
exactly i dont care who u are u aint goin to travel that far just to make a airspace appearance then leave like me DRIVING to toledo bend and sayin ok i been here let me go home and tell all my freinds .if your smart enough to make it to earth u dam sure are smart enough to take us over i do belive there is soemthing out there but what i have no clue
I think the existence of aliens is much more likely than ghosts.

There are ghosts around. Come to the hospital where I work at night and you can hear them over at the ambulance quarters. Most all of the ambulance personel have stories of what they have heard and seen, including me. :o

Bassboy15, shouldn't you be practicing dribbling with your "other" hand and doing both right and left side layups???

As to your query, yes, there are UFOs.

What are they is another question, but there are too many sightings of unidentified flying objects to say "no" to your inquiry.

They may be secret mililtary projects; things falling from outerspace into our atmosphere; aircraft; rockets; and who knows what else.

As for flying saucers, the "Men from Mars" will have to overcome the speed of light to reach our planet, and as we know, our scientists can make particules go faster than the speed of light, but nothing large enough to sustain a large mass of matter nor life in the tests.

So we cannot go as fast as the speed of light with any machine or a machne holding a payload.  But does this eliminate other creatures on other planets in our our other galaxies from doing this and reaching Earth?

Remember, there are people out there who have seen Elvis; spoken with dead people; are psychic; believe in ghosts; can read your fortune; and believe Alabama will win the BCS football championship this year. It is up to you as to believe what you want.

Now, being an intelligent human being and headed to Kansas State in a few years, how about getting your degree in astronomy or physics and do some research in the flying saucer arena?  You will need your Ph.D. which should not be any problem for you.

Then, travel the world investigating flying saucers, like Mulder used to do on TV before he got eaten by Jabba the Hut in the last episode.  At least I think it was Jabba the Hut.  Or was it the Evil Emperor?  Did Mulder get hit with a light saber or did a Storm Trooper do him in? I forgot.

Now Bassboy 15, shouldn't you be practicing dribbling with your "other" hand and doing both right and left side layups???  ;)

The speed record of a manned spacecraft is 39,896 km/h (24,790 mph) Apollo 10 May 26, 1969

Alpha Centauri is the closest star system to our own solar system, being only 1.34 parsecs, or 4.37 light years away from our Sun.

The limiting factor in deep space exploration is the human factor  ;)

One thing I've always wondered was, why, after traveling at least 4.3 light years, did they proceed to the nearest trailer park and kidnap the village idiot?

My favorite response to this question comes from the movie Contact,

"But I guess I'd say if it is just us... seems like an awful waste of space. "
