I think you will find that store-bought egg-nog is just fine.

Bourbon gives the drink a deeper, nuttier flavor, than rum.

Start at 4 parts egg-nog/ 1 part whiskey, then adjust to taste.

I like this mix with a whiskey chaser. After one, I find it best

to forgo the bourbon egg-nog and just stick with the whiskey!

Love it.  My favorite way to drink it is right after it's made so the chunks of ice cream haven't melted yet.  SO GOOD!

I'm with you Kent.  Before my liver turned to stone, my egg nog had always had a generous lacing of Black Jack.  Alas, I must now limit myself to regular egg nog or wine only. (Loud Sigh)

Hmm...Although I actually prefer Scotch, there are several Bourbons I like!
