where do you work?

Featured Replies

I work in a steel mill. Hot, dirty, and dangerous but I love it. Plus I work 4 on 4 off so it's like a mini vacation every week.

I'm a pimp.

I'm his driver.  It's not not a bad gig: the money's right, and I get all the cognac I can drink.

I'm a respiratory therapist for a home medical equipment company. We deliver oxygen, CPAP's (anyone here have one?), etc. to people's homes and show them how to use it. Been at it for going on my 17th year.

I was a strolling mime for the longest time but suffered from job burnout.  I took up a gig as a juggler at a carnival but had a run in with the bearded lady and moved onto my current job, appraising Obama memorial coins and selling cheap, knockoff shamwow's on Ebay.

I dirty the floors Burley mops.

I'm the muscle of the operation.

I am one of 5 Residential Supervisors at a Job Corps Center. I just started my 13th  year there, I started out as a Residential worker.

We supervise 53 employees and are responsible for the health and saftey of 600 students .

My part of the responsibilities are the Schedule and daytime operations. Daytime for us is 3am to 12 noon!

I'm currently unemployed in my industry, real estate management.  I enjoy most parts of the business.  I get to meet a ton of people, and 90% of what I do is just making friends and conversation, something perfect for me because I can't ever keep my mouth shut anyway.  There are parts of the business that I don't like.  Every now and then you have a tenant who falls on hard times and you have to evict.  I have seen and done some things that have broken my heart.  After I go back to school and finish my degree I want to reenter this business to prove to people that it is possible to be a good person AND a landlord.

Right now though, I am working on getting a business off the ground.  It's a company that takes pictures of homes and make virtual tours for real estate agents.  I did this before about 3 years ago and really loved it.  Good pay, lot's of freedom, no set schedule, and no boss.

Haha yeah I can't believe I forgot that part.  Every day:

Baby:  "When are you going to get a job."

Me:  "Baby, I've got a job."

Baby:  "No, I mean a real one."

Something tells me she doesn't have much faith in my project...
