Tattoo design

Featured Replies

I've been toying with the idea of getting a tattoo (arm band) for a couple of years now but I hadn't found one that I really liked. Well, I was bouncing the idea around with a couple of my friend over the weekend and I think we came up with the one I like. Check this out....

Well that is really wicked cool by I'd be hesitant about getting any tattoo. Keep in mind its going to be with you for the rest of your life before you decide. As far as tattoos go though that's really cool.

See how it looks point to eye,

looks good....!!

ive been wrestling around with tatoo designs myself for about 4 yrs.....

still havent thought of the exact details i want in it.....

its a tough choice, that needs to be thought out for quite some time....

i say keep the pic and look at it for about a month....

if you still like it after that much time...... DO IT!!!

i cant wait to get mine....but then again... i have to.

Go for it! You would look good with a tattoo.  But then I think someone told you that several years ago as well.  Wonder who that might have been?  I like the design and I think it fits you so once again Go for it!!!!!

Matt

I might be wring but wasn't there someone else considering something similar a little while back? Might do a search just incase. Might be able to see how somethign similar turned out if they got it done.

Mancard needs to be revoked for at least a week for that comment

Yeah bass wrangler, I know it'll be with me the rest of my life but I've thought about it for several years. I think I'm WELL old enough for one! LOL!

Bassn Bvld, I tried that idea out too but I liked this one more.

mrlitetackle, I have a few pennies to save up yet so it'll be a little while before I get it either way.  ;D

Matt, I have no clue what you're talkin about.  ;D  I never remember any cousin of mine saying that before! LOL!

bassdocktor, you may be right about that. The last one I remember saying about a design like this is LBH and that was quite some time ago.

Pitchinkid, go easy on mjhutch! He is my cousin. 3 days should be plenty!  :D

Good idea, Let us know how it turns out.

hmmmm, I guess you decided to put the hooks on your arm instead of in the fish when we went out.......   :)

anyway, I like the idea, just don't wuss out, get it the whole way around....

what is the significance of your design? people are gonna ask. is it just because you fish? i believe a tatt should have a significant meaning--something that tells a story.

i believe a tatt should have a significant meaning--something that tells a story.

or serves a purpose, like for remembering directions to dry land.

+1 to anyone who gets the reference...

Water World? aka one of the worst movies ever?

Signifcance in the design itself? Not much really. Any one that really knows me, know how much I love fishing so I wanted one fishing related obviously. The design, as mjhutch mentioned, fits me. What most people don't know is that I use to do a good amount of outdoor activities: hunting fishing, softball, volleyball, etc. When I was married, the wife wanted me to cut out most of those activities. Well, fishing was the one that survived you could say. So while typing this, I guess you could say the arm band does have meaning to me. Its a symbol of part of my life that has stayed with me throughout everything I've been through and will continue to be a part of my life (and yes Brian, it will be a complete band) . :)

+1 for the correct answer and +2 for the accurate critique

go for it...

all these negative comments...i think tatoos are nice, and what you get does kind of say something about you, I have a tatoo =) its not that bad.

Honestly, I am suprised it's not a spinnerbait.

Give me time.  Soon enough, you will have a swimbait tattoo.

I don't know what you're talking about SPEED! When have you ever seen me throw a spinnerbait? LOL! And I'm surprised you don't already have a swimbait tattoo! And let me guess, that customer trout one you were telling me about?

I already have the shop picked out. Once I figure out how much the truck is going to cost me to get fixed (finally), I'll get this ball rolling! Can't wait!

I like it - very creative.  Just remember, one who sports a tat, knows where its at!

:D

(FYI, I do not sport a tat, LOL)

Have you considered a single (circle hook ) thru the corner of your mouth?

This has significance to fisherman and the times you don't like it just grow your beard over it.

I have 5 tats...none related to fishing and one of them are too expletive to post.

Ahhh...the wasted youthful years.

If i had the money i'd probably be covered from head to toe in tattoos. No lie..... ;D

Awesome Idea!!

I think it's hard to come up with a creative fishing tattoo that isn't simply cheesy. This looks like a cool spin on the traditional armband.

I have 4 tattoo's myself including a half sleeve and would have more if I had the money.

if you get a senko tattoo, i'll pay for it.

I don't see why people get tatoos and frankly wouldn't date a girl that had one. Well, at least not more than 1 time. ;)

And if I were an employer and someone showed up with several tatoos visible looking for work, it would be a VERY short interview. No offense meant; guess I'm just old fashioned in some ways.

I wonder how many people on Forbes Fortune 500 list have tatoos?
