My son is a second year med student in Tucson.

Last night his Nissan Frontier was stolen...10 years

old and 230,000 miles! Man, hardly worth a thing,

but we were hoping to get two more years out of it.

Oh well, at least no one got hurt.

That's crappy man...

Just noticed the filter.  For the record, I did not say "crappy."  This is way worse than "crappy"

Sorry to hear that RW. I hope things start to look up for you and your son.

I've heard Tucson can be a real crap hole

I bet the police find it within the next few days.  Often drug runners steal vehicles to do "deliveries" until the gas runs out, then they steal another car.

The police will find it abandoned somewhere.  It happened to my mother-in-law's old Datsun.

hopefully it wasn't wrecked along the way. and hopefully it won't be full of bullet holes, crack residue, or feces...

RW, sorry to hear that. Thieves, Liars and Cheats are the scum of the earth...

RW, sorry to hear about what happened to your son. I spent some time in Tucson and that city can be a rough place (unfortunately, of lot of Arizona is becoming overrun).

(spelling police: Tucson) ;D

I knew it! I wrote "Tucson" but then I went back and changed my post to "Tuscon" because someone else had written it that way. Kind of a strange word

Kent, at least your son wasn't in it.

The old car can be replaced.

Ditto what Ghoti said.  It's probably headed south or west, only to get headed north or east again.

Bummer.

Hope he gets it back without any major damage.  >:(

That's right!

Insurance covers a rental car and State Farm

will cut him a check for "book value" in ten days.

Best of all, his aunt is on the hunt for another

car for my son/ her nephew, so he will come out

just fine.

8-)

Kent, send me $500 in unmarked bills and I'll return the car.
