Well babies are a little heavy to cast, make sure you have the right rod.....  :)

Congrats on the first baby!!!!!!!!

Congrats !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

as long as your rod has a lure weight rating of 80oz -160oz you should be able to make practice casts right away. (id pull out of the hospital parking lot first)

Congratulations.  But, don't start wishing your life away.  It's human nature, and most of us do it.

You know, I'll be glad when they are potty trained.  I'll be glad when they can walk.  I'll be glad when they can walk, talk, or bathe themself.

Trust me, changing diapers, and having to tend to their every need is a picnic compared to what follows.

The challenges and responsibilities change, and become more serious every step of the way.

With infants, you don't have to worry about where they are, who they are with, what they are doing or getting into.

When they are an infant, home in bed, and the phone rings in the middle of the night, it's not likely to be good, but you know it doesn't involve them.

When they are teenagers, out with their friends, and the phone rings "after hours", you tend to think the worst.

Then they get married, you become a grandparent, and the cycle begins anew.

Hope I haven't ruined your day.

Not at all I'm looking forward to having a kid but I know the headaches me an my brother probably gave our parents. I'd say we account for well over half there grey hairs.

There's a saying that goes something like this.  Grandchildren are your parents' revenge.

Karma is a fearful thing.

Ya I'll agree with that. My grandparents always loved having us over but it was probably because they knew at the end of the day we were going home!

very well said. i have a 4 and 6 year old. my fishing partner has 3 older kids, 2 in college and 1 just had her first baby. he always tells me this "little kids little problems, bigger kids bigger problems". one thing is for sure, kids cost a lot of money.
