Went to the grocery store this afternoon. Now mind you I live in a fairly nice neighborhood, honestly never expect anything like this to happen here.

I'm driving into the parking lot and I see a skateboard roll in front of me. I stop, and a 2nd kid (about 13-14 years old) rolls by on his board to retrieve the board for his pal. As he rolls by, he flips me the bird. I was about to park, so as I do and get out, the kid walks by me and I ask him, 'dude, why'd you flip me off when I stopped for you?' he responds 'because I thought you were gonna run me over, a hole'....a hole?! 'yeah, and if you expect an apology, this is what I think of apologizing to you'....The kid then spits on the concrete in front of me! It took quite a bit not to say anything else to the kid, instead I just walked away....bewildered, ticked, thinking, did this really just happen?

In a way yes. but more then likely that kind we will be paying for. Redline,  I watched two punk kids cuss out a police officer once and ridicule him.  Complete lack of respect.  I really wanted to

I don't think I would have had the same restraint, it's better that you did though, especially kids that young.  Their parents should be ashamed.

He's just mad jealous of your car.

Was driving the truck.

And skateboarders wonder why the get a bad rap..

This is the future. This is why our country is doomed.

Your point? I wanna see a picture, it's probably sweet as hell. I would have been staring.

I know it's hard to believe but there are still teens out in today's society that have good heads on their shoulders, and are motivated to do right. Now I agree 100% that past generations were much more respectful and courteous overall. As time goes on there has been a drastic decline in the overall mannerisms of society's youth, Which makes the future for people my age look grim...  :-/

Should of shown him what the skateboard can also be used for.

OMG, a teenager said something disrespectful!  The sky is falling, LOL.

Uhhhh, that's been happening since teenagers were invented.  Eventually they say the wrong thing to the wrong person, and the internal filter called maturity kicks in.

First time I've ever had a kid mouh off to me.  Don't know what you're use to, but it's obviously different than what I'm accustomed to.

X2 If I'da said something like to an adult when I was young, I'd a got the taste slapped outta my mouth. Parents nowadays should be required to take a test before they can have offspring.. ;)

Good restraint but no doubt he needs a good ol' ars whippin.  I think I would have unloaded a mouthful of my chewing tobacco on him though.

on the flip side i cant waIT to get old and develop that "get off my lawn" mentality.

;D

Gotta blame society and the stupid laws. Try to discipline your kid and someone calls the cops on you and you get in trouble. Pretty much everything is child abuse now.

The thought of actually hitting the kid never crossed my mind.   besides, with an attitude like he had, I'm sure that I'm the least of that kids issues.

I guess I misunderstood your title, so its just two kids these days? ;D

Look man, teenagers are nasty, foul mouthed messes. There's been two out of every 100 or so that are mouthy, disrespectful, etc. since the beginning of time, and you met them. Two ain't a trend. I never understood the "kids these days..." attitude. If you think its a real problem, step and be leader - do something about it. For me, I'm satisfied raising two decent men.

Don't rag on kids these days, when its just a couple. Its like cursing those dam bass boats speeding all over the lake.

You guys wouldn't believe some of the stuff I see in school. Well, I guess you would, but a select few a-hole kids are lucky I don't have a short temper. It kills me to see a kid curse at an elderly teacher or tell her to f off. Makes me wanna smash their face in a desk and repeat.

As a side note, I would have spit a mouth full of my Grizz right in his face.

My wife, 3 year old and I went to the mall today.

My son wouldn't hold my hand and as he jerked

away he stomped his foot and said "NO!" I grabbed his wrist and he tried pulling away again and said "NO!" What did I do? Lets just say he didn't say "NO" for the rest of the day. In fact, he quickly became the perfect little angel.

It will be a cold day in hell before I let my kids talk/treat me or anyone with disrespect. I know they won't grow up perfect but I guarantee they'll be gentleman while in my presence.
