Still @ #1 Texas Rigged Gene Larew 7 ½ Salty Ring Worm Cinnamon Pepper Neon/June Bug Laminated (Camouflage).

The Rage Tail toads, I had more fun fishing them than any other bait last year.

Favourite for 08' would be the Fat Free Guppy in Citruse Shad colour.

Close 2nd would be a weightless 5' senko, but not much of a soft plastic person. I rather be casting all day or sitting there and fishing with live bait.

I need patients and concentration for slow fishing.

The 4" Senko and Swim Senko produced the most fish for me in '08.

My favorite bait of '08 was the Sebile Magic Swimmer. It produced fewer fish, but on average the biggest fish of the year.

The few times I was able to fish in '08, the cavitron buzzbait did the job for me (black with red blade).  I was loving the rage tail toad too but in those few trips I ended up switching to the buzzbait because the fish would hit it too, and it doesn't have to be replaced every couple of fish.  If the grass was too thick for the buzzer, then definitely the toads.  ;)

Jigs and custom crankbaits.

Well no surprise here-

GYCB Flappin Hog II - color 301 (green pumpkin with green & purple flake) T-rigged with a 3/0 Gammy EWG and a 1/4 oz green pumpkin tungsten weight.

My buddies get ticked when I bring out the flappin hog, cuz they know they're about to get schooled. On days when everyone else was skunked, the hog always prevailed. ;)

2008 was the year I introduced myself to the Lucky Craft Pointer.

Either 78 or 100 in chartreuse shad was the ticket for me.

Not a great year fishing for me in 2008, so I look forward to starting off 2009 with the LC Pointer on some largemouth and spots.

Jigs  ;)

My two best are the Senko and the Baby Paca Craw and the Paca Craw!

Timber Tiger DC5 crank bait in Tennessee Shad color.  So easy to bring these things through a nasty lay down without getting hung up a caveman could do it.     ;)     Hard to find but no other bait provides the same numbers, size and FUN that these do
