Occasionally we have heated debates on the Forum, but for the most part things are light, fun and informative. I know some of the threads become redundant for the guys that have been around for awhile, but for all our new members "What's the best reel?" is a legitimate question. So, for all our inquiring minds, I've come up with a challenge for all members of BassResource.com. Here it is:

Start a new thread on a topic you feel you know a lot about and try to explain it IN DETAIL to our members. It can be simple or technical; in the form of an article or a detailed question. Let's try to focus on FISHING, everything else still belongs in "Everything Else."

Later today I'll start one up in "Tackle" addressing what I think a new fisherman should buy for his first tackle box. (I know we have done this several times, but rather than bringing up an old thread, I'll start a new one.) What I would like to stress is something new or fresh that you have put a lot of thought into. The whole idea is just to make our Forum (YOUR forum) a little more interesting and stimulate some deeper thinking.

How's that sound?

Sounds good RW.  Deeper thinking is always healthy.

There seems to be enough experts on here to get that idea going. I believe Chris did something similar to this with crankbaits not too long ago.

He basically said "Ask Away!!" and people really seemed into it.

I think this is a great idea, and will look forward to seeing what everyone has to offer for information..  

However, I am to new to bass fishing to offer much... but will try and come up with something....  

My contribution is complete.

I'm trying to think of another one to write that I see alot of posts on that I am very good at fishing but cant really think of one.  The jig is the biggest one I see alot of quetions on.

scbassin, It's good to see you back. I thought you had fallen off the face of the earth.

I'm gonna work on a peice about sight fishing. It may take a couple of days. My last chance to deer hunt this season is in the morning so I will be in the bushes.

I would like this to be an ONGOING project. It doesn't mean TODAY. Take some time and make it special. There are lots of members that have some VERY special talents. I hope that over the next few months you will share them with all of our members.

Show off a little bit, even if that's not your nature. We (me) would REALLY like to hear about some special secrets that would make the rest of us better fishermen. In addition to your post, maybe some other members that have a certain twist on your technique will add a little spice to the discussion.
