Im curius to see what you would say is your favorite to shoe/sandle to wear when fishing off your boat.......and does it help you with your hook set?.........im just looking for any little advantage I can get on the water

I have indoor/outdoor carpet glued to the bottom of my canoe and usually fish barefoot.

I'm a barefoot man too. Socks in the winter.

Barefoot for me as well, if possible.

I like a light weight shoe.

I generally have New Balence on.

If I am going to be standing all day I want my legs to stay comfortable.

I have some Crocs and I love them to fish in.  Comfortable and very light.

Skate shoes in my boat, waterproof boots in my buddies boat that is in an eternal state of sinking!

I use either North Face Gore-tex sneakers , Teva flip flops or sperry topsiders aqua shoes.  Not sure of the model.

But the question is Sandals so my closest would be the flip flop.  It's only to protect bottom of feet.  As close to being barefoot as possible but still being able to walk on stuff.

I'd be concerned that if I were fishing barefoot outta the boat that either myself or someone else in the boat with me would accidentally leave out a lure or a hook and it would end up in my foot. I usually wear an old pair of tennis shoes or a pair of crocs I have.

On a side note, how funny would it be to hear Zona on Bassmasters comment on one of the pros shoes and then upon that pro catching a fish Zona would say..."Is it the shoes?!?"   Well...I thought it was funny.

During the warmer months I wear sandals while launching my boat.  Once on the water, I take them off and go barefoot.  In the colder months I wear New Balance sneakers.  I hate shoes and I really won't vouch for any brand.  I have a problem with the toes in my left foot.  After an hour or two, they go numb and hurt when I wear shoes, due to the way shoes squeeze the top of the foot.  It's like hitting your funny bone and having the burning pain in your toes.  If I wear shoes that are too big this doesn't happen, but then there are other problems.

I usually T rig a New Balance walker 502 I dont use any weight and  I use a do nothing presentation. It usually is not neccessary to add any scent

Well, I know I had no problems with hooksets in my videos with my flip flops,.....KU had no problem with hooksets in his videos wearing his crocs,....we still havn't seen yours tho!!????!!

I've worked in footwear the last 3 months, so I've gotten pretty knowledgable about shoes and boots.  Crocs are great, but if they dont fit you perfectly, they can slip off when the bottom of your feet get sweaty.  The best fishing shoe is the New Balance 965.  Its waterproof, breathable, and comfortable with good arch support.  New balance also comes in regular to 4x widths so its real versatile.   The Absolute best fishing boot and my favorite, is the Sperry Barracuda boot.  It is waterproof, light as a feather, it has mesh lining so  it keeps your foot cool, and its great for people who have flat feet like me, but has good arch support.   The Barracuda boot retails for $99.95, and is worth every penny.  If your looking for sandals, keens are another great choice.  North face also makes a great shoe with goretex that retail for $140 and under.  North face and merrell are the two most popular brands as far as low cut tennis shoes.

Chaco Chong Flipflops in the boat and Chaco sandels with the toe loop for wading, cant be beat. One pair is 7 or 8 years old now and still going strong. I wear the chongs everyday. If the soles or straps wear out, send them back for a quick, inexpensive repair. Google them, best sandels made.

I also wear Nike air max when fishing from my own or buddies' bassboats back nor feet hurt as bad.

I JUST WEAR OLD COMFY TENNIS SHOES FOR THE COLDER DAYS...AND MY COMFY WATER SHOES FOR THE HOT SUMMER DAYS.

I bought the same shoes, can't wait to break them in.  And yes, they are very comfortable.

I wear Sperry's. Very light and comfortable. West Marine always has them on sale.

Hearing about anybody fishing barefoot makes me cringe. I wear the oldest pair of Nike's or Reebok's, etc, that I have. When they get too nasty and/or uncomfortable, I demote another pair to fishing shoe status.

Personally I wear Nikes during the colder periods and Aqua Socks during the summer. I have a dark color carpet so it gets hot, plus the lakes I fish can be rocky so I if I feel the need to get off the boat I do have to worry about stepping on something sharp
