spro aruku shad

Featured Replies

I was wondering if anyone had any feedback on the spro aruku shad. I have been using sk red eye shad recently but interested in spro.

i toss the aruku shad quite a bit...have had good success with the spooky shad in the 75 size

I'm down south and the Arucu Shad is my goto lipless CB. we use the 75 most of the time, but the JR when the ell grass gets too high and the 75 starts hanging up too bad. A half day of ripping that 75 out of the grass is a bit much for this old man.

Color? match the hatch (the local forage)

Watched my partner lose a 75 to a 6+ tonight when his line broke.

I've got some I've fished for 2 years and had to replace the hooks on them and the color is starting to show more than a little wear, but they are still catching fish.

Good luck

I have done well with the Evergreen Buzzer Beater which is basically the same bait.

I bought a few Arukus, at the recommendation of Stringjam, a few months ago when we had a good lipless discussion going on  (also bought some Jackall T/N70s).  It's an impressive bait.  Highly detailed, nice and durable finishes.  Best of all, it has a very good action even at low speeds, and will sink and stand on its nose on the bottom.  Since then, I've bought more.

So far, the best three lipless I've ever fished are the Yo-Zuri Hardcore Drum, Jackall T/N70 and Spro Aruku Shad.   All have great actions at very low to high speed, and all will nose-stand on the bottom.

ive bought a few after reading the great reviews on here. havent had a chance to try them yet.

great bait.  The jr. is also very good for when you need to downsize.  Still cast like a rocket but in a smaller version.

I love them, especially the golden shiner.  You can cast them a mile and the finish is durable.  I have one tied on now that probably has several thousand casts on it.

The Aruku Shad is a great bait!  It's the most weedless lipless crankbait that I have found and the finishes are perfect.  They come with Gamakatsu trebles and run true at any speed.

Lee, is it the "Golden Shiner"? or the Gold with Black back? I'd hate to think that you've got a color that I don't. LOL    ;D
