just watched this video. My biggest bass was caught midday in June - 11 AM. What time of day was yours caught?

Hmm, to be honest all my bass caught were during 6am-9am, anything past that was a no catch for me. I went out today to my  local lake, caught 2 bass in 1 hour, and that was from 6pm to 7pm..

the way i see it for me in the high desert, during 10pm-4pm i just don't fish it, maybe its just my mistake experience.

Although I have no concrete explanation as to why, nearly all my Personal Best fish

in both fresh and saltwater have fallen between the hours of 10am and 3pm.

As it happens, many anglers on the forums have experienced much the same.

I have generally found my best bites are always 1-3PM

Freshwater, afternoons, saltwater, it's all about the tide and wind direction( inshore).

An hour after daylight all the way to 2 am

My PB was caught at 7am. My second best was caught at about 4pm. 

The most important thing you can get from that video is that early and late in the day "can be" you best opportunity of catching a bass. Not necessarily the biggest bass though. But a bass. Why? Because the early and late light periods hide your mistakes!

I firmly believe the reason some folks do not catch the largest bass during the 10 - 2 pm period is because they are careless fishermen. Zooming in a spot with their big engine. Standing on the bow to cast. Keeping the sun at your back so that you cast shadows over the spots you are fishing. Clunking around in your boat and not taking measures to be quiet.

No wonder they have trouble catching during the high light periods.

Different parts of the day have all produced fish. I would have to say I consistently get better fish right as the sun comes up.

The lake is the exact opposite of every pattern that I have learned over the years.

Very strange, but true.

I say all the time, the people that just fish early in the morning and slightly before dark are missing out BIG time.  I would say majority of my better fish in 2009 came mid-day.

I guess my best fishing times are different then the rest of the responses....My favorite time is fish is around 6pm to sundown

Same for me. Right around noon, on a VERY hot and sunny day. Caught on a shady part of the lake out of some pads.

i have caught most of my bugger fish at 12 to 4 am  from full to to new moon and all in between. Although i have seen big fsh caught in the middle of the day i have seen plenty get caught in morning and afternoon. I really think it comes down to where you are fishing at

My PB came at 5:45 am :-? But other notable catches were definetely between 11-4 8-)But I catch some monster bass after sundown in the summer, so I guess I just catch fish because I pay attention to the moon phase! Is that another subject?

I believe my biggest was caught right before sunrise on a buzzbait. 

mid-day is great during the colder periods like early spring and late Fall. 

during dog days of summer I like pre-dawn and dusk-dark.

My biggest were before and just after sunset.  I decided to create a log this year to keep track and I hope it helps put more fish in the boat  ;D

This is info that came from the Classic Blog last week. I think it was most of the totals for the second day. The morning was productive.

7:00 - 7:30: 5 fish caught, 11 pounds, 4 ounces

7:30 - 8:30: 30, 41-12

8:30 - 9:30: 25, 47-13

9:30 - 10:30: 16, 30-7

10:30 - 11:30: 16, 34-13

11:30 - 12:30: 17, 36-12

12:30 - 1:30: 11, 18-13

1:30 - 2:30: 2, 2-8

Here is what the final two hours looked like yesterday with 51 anglers:

1:30 - 2:30: 11, 20-3
