Hi Everyone

Featured Replies

I just wanted to say to everyone. I am new at this. I am looking for someone in the rochester area who wouldnt mind taking me on as a fishing partner. I can do boat or shore. Im new to the fishing world and the guys i hang out with give me crap saying i cant fish cause im a female. Well i want to prove them wrong. Also im not really sure where are some good areas for shore fishing. Would gladly take any advice.

Welcome Cutie,  There should be someone up your way that will give you some pointers.

Kelley

Hello, welcome to the forum.  The moderators will probably move this to the appropriate area so members in the Rochester area can possibly hook up with you.

Good areas for shore fishing are fallen timber, weeds, stumps, and any good looking "cover" you can find.  Try a variety of lures as well.  ;)

Nope. I'm gonna leave it right here so we can all say hello.

WELCOME ABOARD CUTIE, I can't believe that those guys won't take a Lady fishing that's just ridicules and disrespectful. You just keep asking questions in this forum and you will wind up out fishing them.

The other guys have given tips as well or better than I could, so I'll just say WELCOME to the forums!!

Welcome Cutie,

You came to the right place to learn. After you read the articles, ask alot of questions. Remember, the only "stupid question" is the one you didn't ask.

Have fun,

Falcon

Welcome :)!

I don't think you'll find a friendlier place to ask question no matter what level of "fisherperson" you are! With your tag being "cutie" you'll probably get a faster response.

Welcome, Cutie.  As for the guys telling you that you can't fish because you're female, I've spoken to a few guys whose wives seem to outfish them often.  I know when I fish for crappie with my wife I struggle to keep up with her.  Alas, she isn't into bass as much so I get off the hook there.   :)

Welcome to the site! :D
