My family and I just got stationed near Destin. my kids are all tiny, so we're going to stick to inland fishing for a few years. I fished a ton when I was a kid, but not in many places. I'm hoping to find some tips on where I can take the family and a boat for weekend trips without 1. breaking the bank and 2. wearing the kids out driving a long way. If anyone has a tip or two they'd care to throw my way I'd love to hear them.

    I just joined the board also.  I live in Crestview.  I know of a few places.  I grew up here ,but I have been out of the area and so I am still learning what fisheries are in the best shape.  I can let you know what I find as I try out some spots.
