I caught this lovely 9.5 pound lady around sunrise the morning of July 17th. Yes, she was released to be caught another day.

I am still working on breaking the Maryland state record of 11.2 lbs..... Pic below.

The fishing has been dead in this pond for the last 3 weeks...have not been catching anything, not even small ones. One morning 2 weeks ago I noticed what I believed to be a large Bass nail and engulf a baby duck off of the waters surface. So after weeks of fishing my normal spinnerbaits, jigs and chatterbaits with no success, I figured why not try some top water.

Thanks..not sure about the red tail, but we have had some rain here recently and the water is murky and not as clear as it normally is, so that may contribute to her pale color.

Nice WTG I got that same lure and haven't caught anything on it maybe ill try throwing it again my next outing. You'll get that record for sure if she makes it a few more years or if there's bigger in that pond
