What is the worst thing you snagged while fishing? Whether it was hard to get your lure out or just a usual object to snag.

Mine was a sunken shanty while dropshotting with an ultra-light spinning rod.

My wifes' face....Gods honest truth. Not a good day for the Kevinator after that. But, a few years later she did buy me a new boat for fathers day so I guess I made up for it.

Snagged a dead deer last spring that had drowned and mostly decomposed under the ice Getting my pointer back was not a fun deal. I did get a decent 8 point rack off of it though, figured I'd already got my hands dirty might as well go all out.

I snag asian carp all the time on accident, so they are definately up there. The worst thing iv ever snagged would have to be a condom. I fish a stretch of the Illinois River where bank fishing and partying is everywhere. Iv snagged underwear, lawn chairs, a bike, a tiki torch, a car rim, countless cigarette packs, beer cans, socks, and a bong. Most treasures were caught with crankbaits. The bucket people haul down a weeks worth of bait, beer, chips and gear. Then theyre so lazy that they just leave it there. Then the river floods and this is the result.

I would be ticked, i hate seeing that. My worst has been a water moccasin, and boy was it fun getting the crank out of him.

Another weird thing I snagged was a case of tide. I am not sure how but my lure got inside the opening of it and I reeled it all the way to the boat.

Idk if it counts but I hooked my face in the spring it was a cast the tree made when I ripped the crank out of it lol I caught it it caught me....in the forehead

I was casting out to what i thought was a log sticking out of the water and got my lure hung. I waded out to get it and saw it was a trash bag. I pulled it back to shore. someone stuffed a dead dog in the trash bag and through it in the lake. there was nothing letf but bone and fur.

My uncle caught a deceased dog once. Awful smell.

I snagged about 30 yards of braid one day on a jig. I started to pull as much as I could to the boat and there was half decayed pike on the other end with one of those large Rapala X-raps in its mouth. It was a nice one, 35"+ and I got a nice lure out of it. Too bad that was in my box that got stolen last year.

There was a little bit of mono on the other end, I'm betting the guy was running low on his main line and got a hookup on the backing and it broke.

Back in the '70's, snagged a lamprey eel in the Ct. River! One ugly s.o.b.!

I snagged ( on purpose ) a Manta Ray about 4' across that was swimming near the shore on the beach. I snagged it using a one ounce red tail hawk, land it, well not quite. After an epic battle with 4000 spinning reel and 15# line, I ran after the fish about a half mile reeling up line to avoid being spooled, the line broke within in a few feet of shore......the fish won.

got the back of my sisters head once when we were little. pretty sure she wasnt too happy with me. we had to walk about a mile to get back to our campsite to have my dad take it out.

Same deal, but with a Smooth Butterfly Ray. I've done it with Cownose rays as well.

Holy crap! What a fish, I bet it felt like you snagged a submarine.

We were snagging these things left and right while fishing from the bank by the running water from the culvert behind me! We caught several buffalo as well, and broke off (80lb mono) while fighting a couple in the same spot! NONE made it back in!

I went spearfishing in a lake full of carp and shot a 40 pounder and I thought it was going to drown me. (Keep in mind im 5'7" and 115lbs)

But i've snagged a what looked to be an XXXXXXXXL cheetah print thong.. I just cut my line. I'd rather loose my x-rap then get some disease.
