Soft Plastics

Featured Replies

What are some of the top soft plastic baits out there?  What produces the best?  These questions could be redundant(right word?? lol).  Thanks!

Being new to this site... I already know everybody will say Senkos. Haha i just picked me up my first package today!

you'll definitely hear a ton of senko hype!!!

personally, they are apparently the best bait that i have never used!!!

my choice are charlie's brand baits,

pretty much tried every variety... and love them all!!!

id say junebug is my fav. color scheme, no matter what style that its in.

The secret is in the Tikiman.

I like tiki sticks, trick sticks and zoom trick worms  :)

Oh and PowerBait 7" Powerworm always produces pretty well for me.

I used to use Senkos every time I hit the the water. This year, I have only tossed one once. RAGE TAILS, baby!! All the way!!

You have to have 5" Senkos in Watermelon w/ black fleck, they'll catch fish when nothing else is.

Then Berkley Powerworms in 4", 7", and 10"

Yum ribbons

Zoom trick worms

netbait paca craws

yammy senkos

Most productive plastics of all for me  ( not saying that I don't have a truckload of other stuff that works well too)

gycb fat ikas

zoom trick worms

net bait paca craws

culprit worms

rage craws

You better have a long piece of paper for your list and the bait monkey is going to LOVE you!! ;D

I use plastics only from GYCB, Rage Tails, and Zoom

what you're going to find is that millions of baits are "good" or "the best".  Basically it all comes down to preference, and how much you're willing to spend.  I love *** for soft plastics, absolutely can't beat the price and they come scented which is great.  Everything I've used has produced fish, my faves are the brush hogs, duper flukes, and ***.   If you want to spend a little more, look into the rage tail line, i've been very succesful with them.  Downside is they're not cheap, and after a few big fish you'll be replacing them.

Zoom & Yum,, are great !!

most people feel Yamamoto is well worth the price!!!

I really like ZOOM plastics although RAGE has made a beliver outa me

Rage Tail Craws and Zoom Baby Brush Hogs in watermelon red stay on my hooks more than any other plastics right now. Yum Dingers are the closest stick bait to imitating the actual action of a GYCB Senko and are quite a bit cheaper. Kinami Flash is a Senko, just packaged under the son's name and not Gary Yamamoto's. Get ya some Aluring Trick Sticks and Wave Tiki Sticks too. All work well as a stick bait but each have their own characteristic action. The Tiki Sticks have some powerful scent to them.

The whole Rage Tail line is well worth the money and they WILL catch fish. Oh yea, don't forget to pick up a bag or two of Gummie Worms for drop-shotting. :)

Get a pack of Rage Tail craws and a pack of Strike King shim-e-sticks. The craws can be flipped and pitched or fished on top with a keel weighted hook. You can wacky rig or texas rig the shim-e-stick to give them a different approach if they aren't biting the craw.
