It's been one of those weeks. I have a very long temper, but it's running incredibley short. It seems like everything that could have possibly ticked me off this week happened. All I wanted to do today was hit a pond and fish until dark. Got a new technique that I have been DYING to try, but everyday problems arise that don't allow me to go. Today I went to the pond, made ONE cast, got a phone call and had to leave. I mean really? Hopefully all of this bad fortune will lead to some good karma - and hopefully very soon. Starting to feel like I need to hit something over and over again.

The bright side is that nothing really traumatic has happened, it's just been things that really hit a nerve with me.

I'll just keep smiling and pushing through.

Sucks man. Sometimes you're the bat, sometimes you're the ball. Just got to keep your head down and keep pushing through. BTW, if you do decide to hit something hard over and over make sure it's something that is supposed to be hit over and over again. Walls break knuckles and then you're worse off than you started, trust me :dazed-7:

If this is as bad as it gets then you are way ahead of the game. Bad fortune may be getting a call to take your wife or kids to the hospital, won't tell ya the outcome. Bad fortune may be getting a call from your biggest account to see them asap, won't tell ya the outcome.

As long as it don't kill you, it will make you stronger.

If that doesn't work, you can always try to trade your woes for mine!

Always remember when you think life has you down. Its always going to be 3 times as bad for someone else.. To give you an ideal, in the last month and 2 days we have lost 2 family members. But on the bright side, they both were suffering. Also my wifes uncle was one of these, hes the twin of her dad. So we were alll looking into that coffin, thinking it was him also..

So when life gets you down, Take a breath, Count to 10. If you need do it again. I learned 16 years ago life is priceless, Almost dying twice will make you look at life in a new picture.

We all go thru many different things in life as we grow as a person. One of the determining factors of how we are judged is how we deal with life's ups and downs. Everyone has their own ways of coping with difficult times. Its up to you to keep all of these things in perspective and as they say "roll with the punches." I'm sure in the back of your mind you know all of this is temporary and that things will sort themselves out in the long run. Smile, be patient, do the things that you know are right, live to fish another day!

I agree with all of you, in reality, I've got it made - great family and friends and that is all that matters! When I posted this I was more mad than complaining. You definitely have to push through the sucky weeks to get to the good ones!

Understandable, sometimes you just have to vent to anyone that will listen. Good thing is you know you have a bunch of good guys here that will listen to you :)

Sounds like you have the right perspective on things. It's nIce to have a forum to vent and know a lot of friendly people are willing to listen and keep you grounded. I value my time and community here on BR............................ Keeps me warm and fuzzy lol!

I basically echo what bluebasser said!!

Every time I get thinking like that I remember the words of a pastor friend of mine. He said if we all had to bring our troubles into the town square and throw them in a big pile for all to see, we would quickly grab our own little contribution to the pile and run home.

Ask your parents for the money and permission to fish the Northern Open on the James out of Osborne Landing this summer and see if your luck changes!!!!!!

Really, you will have a great time and you will fish for wild bass.

And you will learn a lot!
