You know I don't like to waste time on green fish this time of year, but with all that's

happening right now, I'm refocused, at least for this weekend!

Well I'm back with a vengence against those brown fish.....started last weekend! They were the right color, just not the right size or species! :eyebrows:

Jeff

that is a big fear..... with so many new people going to Pickwick (i never been but will this year HOPE) how many people will mount/eat the lucker they were lucky enough to land.......

seen/heard many lakes get LOTS of attention, only to be 5 years later not be able to catch shorts.

Very few lunkers will be caught and eaten. The "lucky" fishermen don't catch many big bass.

I plan on being below the dam or above it not sure yet. But will be bass fishing one of those Monday.

If you need a ride let me know.

Looks like FUN! Great catch!

Live bait? I fished the barge canal and Cypress creek Saturday. I also drifted the bank in front of McFarland. I guess I am gonna have to buy a cast net and learn to use it. Great day! And for what it is worth, the few bass that I caught were extremly healthy. While I did not have a great trip, I had a good one. If you can get on Pickwick in cool to cold weather at all I would highly recommend it.

All of our fish were caught on a Johnson Silver Minnow fished as the center lure on an Alabama Rig.

Thanks, I have used the Silver Minnow before with success, but I have not used the Alabama Rig yet. But I guess that is next.

I look forward to our trip to Guntersville. You will make my day look "average".

I have never seen four 10's and a kicker!

RW,

Were you fishing with all 5 hooks on that rig below the dam? I assumed that Tennessee laws were enforced over there and that anglers could only use 3 hooks. Do you know which is correct? I'm planning on fishing below the dam tomorrow and am going to try using an A-rig (and others). Would you mind telling me what pattern you were fishing? Water temp, depth, retrieval, structure, etc... And possibly include any GPS cords? :teeth:

Thanks!

He was fishing Wilson dam on pickwick. 5 arms allowed. Above pickwick dam is 3 arms only until you hit Mississippi water.

Jeff

10-4... I thought he was below Pickwick dam and I was going to hit it up tomorrow, but it looks like below Wilson is hotter. What do you think? (Thanks Jeff!)
