When you get done fishing, do you all leave your lure attached to the line and hook it safely to a spot on the pole? Or do you remove the lure and tie the loose end of the line to an eye on the pole. Wasn't sure if leaving a lure attached for days at a time between fishing dats would weaken the knot or something like that.

I've never had a problem with the line/knot by leaving a hook or lure being on the line. I leave mine tied on.

Yeah, that's what I figured. It would be a whole lot easier for me to leave them on my rods than to continuously mess with the lures tie on and off each time.

I usually leave them tied on. I never noticed a problem with the knot breaking when I use them the next time.

After I'm done? No,easy to just leave the lure on for easy transportation back home.However, I've been trying to get into the habit of retie once I go fishing. You should retie before you start fishing again. I always retie my stuff the night before I'm getting ready to go out that morning.

I always leave the lures tied on. Never know when I might get a few minutes to make some cast and I dont want to have to search for lures when I do just grab and go.

I like to get on the water 3-4 times a week and sometimes it gets to be a pain having to keep re-tieing the lures for each trip. My only concern was the line getting "dried out" between days. The last thing I want is a hook set and then I reel in a loose and empty line with a bass making off with my KVD frog. LOL

I leave mine tied on but I always retie or at least give it a quick check to make sure the knot and line are still good. I fish before work a lot of the time and it's nice to have baits tied on ready to go to get the most of the 30 minutes I might have to go make a couple casts.

Depends what I'm using, I usually tie on a hard/solid bait since they don't go bad. Once I go out I'll do a few tugs to make it sure it's tight

I probably should have clarified my post. I almost always retie expensive hard baits b/c it sucks breaking off a Lucky Craft 1.5 or X Rap. For Texas rigs or drop shots I give them a couple tugs and check for nicks in the line and retie if needed.

I leave it on for the trip home but then cut it off and tie fresh the next trip as I'm always going to have the same bait on, even consecutive days of fishing I always tie the bait on fresh, it gives me a little more confidence that my line and knots are solid.

i always leave them tied on, but i do re-tie everything the next time out!

I'll leave a jig tied on, or a T-Rig. Treble hook lures get cut off immediately, as to any that are large, or provide something to get in the way. That's part of the fun in getting ready, to me, rigging. Tying everything on, getting ready to roll.

I leave stuff tied on between trips. Out on the water, I retie often, and am always checking my line, most of the stuff I have tied on all the time gets used all the time. No sense in cutting it off just for the heck of it. If the knot/line was or is good enough to fish with on the last cast of the previous trip, it's good enough for the first cast of the next. But my trips are usualy only a day or two apart, many times the very next day. If I went weeks between fishing, I might retie all or them. The night or morning of a TX I retie everything, including any braid to fluoro leaders I might have rigged up, just a piece of mind thing I guess. The only thing I cut off regularly,are treble hooked lures when those rods go into the locker.

Yes and no.......depends what kind of fishing I'm doing and where I'm at. The waters I fish in Florida put very little wear and tear on my freshwater gear, not much abrasion on my line. I leave my leader and duolock on for several weeks before I put fresh ones on, I do remove the lure when I get home. Saltwater gear gets fresh knots and leaders before I leave home in the morning. I may drive home with a lure tied on but while I'm rinsing them down I take everything off and cut off a few feet of mainline. I take 2-3 rods so morning prep is pretty quick.

For single hook baits I usually keep the hook on the line when stored.

For treble hook baits I remove them as I have gotten into trouble with treble hooks getting caught in clothing, furniture, carpet and my fingers!!!

I constantly check my line & knots before, during, & after each trip.

I leave it tied on after I fish for the most part, but I typically change lures right before I get ready to fish based on what I want to throw that day/what has been working.
