  1. One of the worst trades in MLB history was the Phillies trading him and Larry Bowa for Ivan DeJesus......he was always a classy guy and a top notch 2nd baseman.
  2. emptying isn't quite the same as a flush but I get what you ae saying.
  3. Not sure I see the dishonesty part here. Did they lie about the services performed? A quick persual at KBB it seems as though they are well under the national average. Seems to me that you are upset over something you don't know what the prices should be....i have paid to have my brakes done before when time was in a crunch and it was easily triple what I could do them myself for but I also don't have to pay myself labor costs either....
  4. Those kayaks take a ton of water to float and it seems like 3 pieces of grass will stop the motor. I am used to kayak fishing on the rivers so that sounds like a pretty normal day to me...
  5. 3wt fly rod and slow sinking spiders or small poppers.sliders or gurglers. They are a ton of fun to catch and easy to find. If there is vegetation you can usually hear them popping the surface feeding too.
  6. Eagles have a tough schedule and zero back to back home games, first time ever. It won't matter just like last season where everyone balked at them having such an early bye week. They will represent the NFC again in the Super Bowl barring serious injuries.
  7. You'll notice it being slower on startup but other than that you go until it dies. You get a jump and go get a new one. I'll proactively get mine tested if I am going on a trip or something maybe but other than that, you'll know.
  8. ab roller wheels do a fantastc job for core work. If you aren't comfy on the ground you can do hanging options too which i also recommend as they will allow a fuller range of motion and stretch. Leg lifts raises twists etc.
  9. Fly fishing is another tool to catch fish. Sometimes it is more effective than conventional other times it is not. It is up to you to figure it out. There is a learning curve but it isn't as complicated as one may think but everyone has the orvis catalog guy pictured in their head. I primarily fly fish, probably 95% of the time and I enjoy it. There are times when I use conventional gear too when the conditions dictate it i.e. deeper water presentations. On moving water I will take my fly rod almsot exclusively and do just as well save some rare situations as conventional. Catching big largemouth on a fly rod is fantastic and if you frequent areas that have lilly pads I am conviced a fly rod is the best tool for the job. Small mountain streams or spring creeks, no doubt the fly rod is the way to go.
  10. I hate my rods straight up behind me so I don't do that at all. I use other mounts that are adjustable and they go wherever they go for the day. Same applies for conventional or my fly rods.
  11. SA titan is the best line i have found for warm water fishing and i have them on my 7's and 8's. As far as the weight of hte rod goes, it will be fine. You can cast pretty much anything you want with that rod weight and while it won't be ideal for larger flies, you absolutely can. I went years as a broke college student/climbing bum fishing for everything from sunnies to largemouth to big ass carp with my 4wt. You just have to adjust your casting stroke a little. Have fun and stick with basic flies and colors unless you don't want to. I use three main flies, some sort of topwater, usually a Boga bug, a streamer like a gamechanger or baitfish imitiation and a bottom bouncer like a clawdad or sculpin depending on what the fish are telling me.
  12. if you are willing to actually learn how to use it, absolutely. If it is going to be a new boat ornament then nah not worth it. I use my sidescan all the time on my kayak and wouldn't go out without it on flat water.
  13. There are lots of them like LeBron James for starters and lots in other sports too. Now what would be impressive is to find that level of integrity in our elected officials which these days is sorely lacking.

And here I thought egg and gas prices were going to dramatically drop at the end of January. I think it was 6.99 for 18 here last weekend when I went shopping
  15. KC didn't choke they just didn't play a team as well rounded as the Eagles. No QB who has ever oplayed will do well when the D line is getting pressure without blitzing. Brady was the same way, you punch them in the mouth and they don't know what to do.
