  1. I broke ice with my boat this winter and caught a few.
  2. Over the years I've had some great conversations with dock owners while fishing their docks. It's no big deal so long is I respect their property and I'm careful not to damage anything. Here in GA it is against the law to prevent someone from fishing anywhere on public water even around any dock. Now if they step foot on your dock that's trespassing. Now if you were fishing then you had all the right in the world to get mad at him and ask him to respect your space.
  3. 3/8oz Living Rubber Jig that I make, and it's tipped with a Rage Chunk Trailer Ol' Nelly Spinnerbait Spot Remover Jighead with a Green Pumpkin Trick Worm Green Pumpkin Finesse Worm Spro Bronzeye Frog And a large supply of JJ's Magic.
  4. I've got a copy right here on my shelf...... Can I get $150?......... I mean with inflation these days that's a reasonable price I think. : I'll throw in a box of walking worms to the highest bidder.
  5. It sounds like he is talking about Rejuvinade. It's got a reputation of killing fish due to stress. As for "Please Release Me" and "Catch and Release" by Sure Life Labs. I have spent hours reading all of their research studies over the past years and they have done their homework. They've done long term studies with post release fish from tournaments and the outcome was 98% of the fish lived through the entire month long study after a tournament where their product was used properly across the board. If you really want to use something that is good for the long term health of your fish watch their videos on this site and practice what they teach. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/fish-care-in-the-livewell.html
  6. Not so much a secret lure but a new finesse rig. A magnum finesse worm with a lead nail in the head, an O-ring an inch up and wacky rigged. Just let it sink to the bottom and shake. It's pretty cool.
  7. Now that something to shoot for. Heck Senko77 caught four of them out of the same stretch of river one day last month. (Spot, Shoal, Northern, Smallmouth) All were big.
  8. I use a Q-tip to color my Mattlures swimbaits with JJ's. I haven't had a problem at all.
  9. I shot my first five deer with a bow back when I was 12 and 13 years old. I've been a bow hunter ever since, with a little rifle mixed in. I also hunt turkey but that's about it.
  10. That's awesome, congrats........ Look at the slop in that water. Yum Yum.
  11. Call them, They always make it right.
  12. When I'm working mine through rocks I get fewer snaggs if I fish it a little fast. I try not to let it settle. With the my rod tip high I just bump the rocks as I hop it along.
  13. It is fine on powerbait and Rage. I quick-dip my powerbait though. It is not good on the 3X stretchy plastic like the trailers that come with Chatterbaits. Good luck.
  14. He fishing co-angler so he just needs confidence that what's on the end of his line will catch fish. You know me. No spots. I'm going looking for new one up North.
  15. I was guiding today and miss the whole game but I'm watching the replay right now. I've been playing soccer since I was a kid and it's a great game but Algeria plays dirty. I can't believe the number of flagrant fouls. There should have been four red cards given in this game.
  16. Mop Jigs and a few different colored chunk trailers and a couple of bottles of JJ's Magic. Then I'd have some money left over for food and gas.
  17. Jacob, send me a PM. I'll do what I can to help you out.
  18. Here's a few articles from our library http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/co-angler_clinic.html http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/guide_to_tournament_fishing.html http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/back_seat_strategies.html http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/back_seat.html http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/backseat_fishing.html http://www.bassresource.com/bass-clubs/tournament-etiquette.html http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/tournaments_beginning.html
  19. It all depends on the bass, the lake, the weather, and the baitfish in many of the lakes I fish. But a good rule of thumb is 2 to 4 weeks. On Clarks Hill I throw Super Spook Jr, flukes, and a short leader C-Rig. On most the other lakes I throw a spinnerbait, jig, small dropshot, or a T-Rigged Ol' Monster.
  20. One time I was stranded in my boat over night so I always keep a box of emergency food. 1. Vienna Sausages 2. Crackers 3. Couple bottles of water. 4. Granola Bar Now for everyday fishing I take: 1. Mountain Dew 2. Water 3. Seeds 4. PB&J 5. and yes, a banana or two. (I ain't scared)

I'm gonna have to test that one out. My fishing partner has been keeping his in a plastic box for years.
  22. Carp are spawing in your neck of the woods right now. They chase each other in shallow water all day long when they are spawning.
  23. Welcome to the family. Oconee is my favorite lake.
