Welcome. We loved Shreveport. They were a very good host city for the Classic. I had some of the best food I have ever eaten.

Tackle Shop
My favorite Tackle Shop is 120 miles away. It's a Mom and Pop shop that's full of top quality bass tackle and plenty of chairs around to sit and talk shop. I love it.

not happy with flourocarbon line.
That's odd. I've been using Triple Fish Fluorocarbon for years and haven't had a breakage problem with it at all. At first I didn't like the memory but KVD Line and Lure took care of that.

Exclusive interview with Ike yesterday - Video!
It's amazing what you get from the anglers after you turn off the camera and after you gain some trust. This is the second year that I've covered the Classic and I've eaten dinner with Boyd Duckett a few times at a friends house. So there is some trust there. I was standing there talking to Ike and Boyd walked up to compare notes with Ike. They were both using the Laser Lure and they were raving about it. Not to me but to each other.

Exclusive interview with Ike yesterday - Video!
We will not get into an Ike bashing contest on this thread. If you don't know him personally you can't begin to understand him or his personality.

RAGE TAILS RAGE TAILS RAGE TAILS!!!!!!!!
They definitely aren't a gimmick. They are the real deal. I'm not saying they are the best thing that has ever come along but they are a great brand of bait that continue to get better with each new release.

Bass Travel
There's a post from a year or two ago where Randall talks about a bass who has been caught four different times and released at the boat ramp. This bass was caught each time on the same fish attractor that's 2 miles from the ramp. There are pictures to proove it.

David Fritts wins another with the DT
Fritts is well known for never being totally honest about how he caught his fish. Even after the tournament is over. Some of my friends were watching him catch his fish and they all said he was using a white Fat Free Shad.

David Fritts wins another with the DT
He said he won the Clarks Hill on a DT. Some of us know that wasn't the case. Oh well he's got to support his sponsors.

need more speed for electric tournements
Get an 80 for the back and you can try the 28. I think you will have trouble turning it when the back motor is on high. But if you use that setup it will give you time to save for something bigger for the front. Garnet, I've put three 101s an a boat and I can still get three 80s to go just a fast. You see. There is a terminal speed that a boat can go before needing twice as much power to get it up on plane. Three 80's get the boat to that terminal speed just fine.

need more speed for electric tournements
I build electric jons for tournament fishing and have done extensive tests on the speed. My standard setup is two 80lb thrust transom motors mounted and lock in the forward position. I run two hotfoot switches to the front of the boat to turn them on. Then use the transom motors for thrust and the bow mounted 80lb motor up front to do the steering. Yep that's six batteries and on big lakes we will put two extras in just in case. If I had your boat I would run one 80lb transom and move all four of the batteries up front under the front deck. Store your tackle where you can. Don't run your transom motors straight down in the water. Tilt them up one or two slots and lock them down. When we need to get the most speed out of our boats both me and my partner will stand in the front of the boat as well. When running an electric boat .1 mph addition is a lot. So experiment and see what works best.
