  1. That's a great Idea. You can also take this a step farther and call a dealership that is an hour or so drive from your house and tell them to make it worth you while to come down and talk to them. Make sure you give them your phone number early in the conversation so they can call you back after you hang up on them.
  2. 1. Learn the Lowest Cost. This includes current, national, regional, local rebates, unadvertised incentives and holdbacks. 2. Learn the Invoice Price, Sticker Price, Invoice and Sticker Price for all factory installed options and packages. (www.edmonds.com) 3. Play the Game - Don't be in a hurry to get a car. If you don't get up and leave the dealership at least twice you aren't trying hard enough. Make them call you and ask you to come back. 8-) 4. Don't pay for things like windshield etching, undercoating, rustproofing, fabric protection, extended warranty, etc. 5. If you have a trade-in or a down payment DON'T EVEN MENTION IT until you've agreed on a price for your new car. 6. Know what your trade-in is worth. For a small fee ($14) Consumer Reports has a service you should take advantage of. Just call them a 1-800-225-9900 They will need the year, make, and model of the new car and the same info on your trade-in. Trade-in info is an extra $12 bucks.
  3. You can pitch with just about any baitcaster. Once you have it set right it all about the rod. A good pitching rod is a long 7+ foot, Medium Heavy to Heavy, with at least a fast tip. Then it's all a matter of practice.
  4. I have. InvizX is softer with a little less memory but has more stretch. Trilene 100% has better abrasion resistance but is not as soft. I like the Trilene 100% slightly better, but you can't go wrong with either one. I totally agree with this. I've tried both and like each of them.
  5. Welcome to the forums. You will get plenty of Tips and tricks here. Here's one that I do. I used to have problems keeping all my little stuff organized in my tackle box. One rough boat ride and everything would be screwed up so I took some cheep foam shelf liner and some spray adhesive and glued the liner inside the lid. I haven't had a problem since.
  6. That is truly awesome. Congrats. You should email that pic to JJ's Magic.
  7. That looks pretty good. I've been tying my own jigs for several years now. I love being able to put together some costom colors and match the hatch better.
  8. I have sat in a boat on the last day of practice for the Bassmasters Classic for the past two years. The first year was with Timmy Horton and this last month it was with Mike McCleland. I learned details that you just don't get from anywhere else. I have taken what I learned and turned it into success on the water. I can tell you that every minute was worth it and I'd pay 100 bucks to do it.
  9. Don't quit now y'all. The season is just getting started. 8-)
  10. Keep it respectful guys. He's staying within the law.
  11. Where is lake Nottely?
  12. Welcome. That's a great fish for Southern Oregon. I used to live in Grants Pass. I love that little town.
  13. I would be fishing a 1/8oz shaky head with a finesse worm on light line. I would be working very deep structure.
  14. So you are saying I might want to pack a spinnerbait or two?
  15. Chris, What is Summer Pool?
  16. Hey Kelley. You've been a member for how many years and your just now reading the FAQ's.
  17. I rig them alot of different ways. Double Fluke Rig Texas Rig Weightless C-Rig Mojo Rig Dropshot I even put them on a chatterbait.
  18. Use Bow to Stearn. (BTS) It's the best thing out there for protecting your gel coat. It's better than any wax. http://www.btsproducts.com/
  19. I use JJ's Magic or Megastrike. JJ's last all day long and Megastrike stays on and helps my plastics slip through the hydrilla.
  20. Clear Super Spook Jr.
  21. That happens more often than you know. It happened to me and a buddy a few years ago with a brand new 101lb thrust. My only guess is that the guys putting these things together aren't the brightest bulb in the box.

  23. It's hard to pinpoint an exact depth. Each fish is different and the conditions are always different. If you do it exactly like the video shows there won't be a problem. Remember to clean the inside of the needle out after each fish. I keep several hypodermic needles taped under the console. Once you learn how to do it and become good at it then you can teach your buddies at the holding tank how to do it.
  24. let me see if I can find a few.
