  1. Yes you can make a lighter rod than the Kistler. It's not just about the blank. It is the whole package. You need the lightest of every component that you put on a rod.
  2. I love it. I fish tournaments because I love competition but I don't do it for the fame.

    'Bout time. Welcome
  4. Enlightenment is a wonderful think ain't it. lol Congrats of finding a new way to catch them.
  5. Jigs are best suited for fishing a small area or spot like a rockpile or brush or grass. A C-Rig is great for covering a large area like a flat or stup field or rocky point ect.
  6. Yea, They kill, mangle and maim kids just like the next one. Sorry man, I work in a Trauma Center and we had two separate ATV accidents this weekend. One kid died (12yo) and the other is paralyzed from the shoulders down (14yo). That makes over 50 ATV accidents this year where they made it to us still alive.
  7. Welcome, That a pretty good question. 1. weightless Super Fluke 2. Green Pumpkin Finesse worm on a Spot Remover Jig head with the tail dipped in JJ's Magic. 3. Bandit Flat Maxx crankbait 4. C-Rigged Trickworm dipped in JJ's 5. Dropshot Aaron's Magic 4.5" Roboworm
  8. Nope, I've never caught a fish on a weightless Super Fluke.
  9. The swamp crawler is a taper tailed worm that is also a little softer than the trickworm. I use it for dropshot, shakyhead and mojo rig.
  10. That looks like Algae that is stuck to it's mouth.
  11. You answered the question. The lake has a Low oxygen level and that fish can't breath.
  12. It's about freakin time.
  13. Welcome, let's just start you at the beginning. It's where I start every year. Go to the top of this page and click on Fishing Articles. Then Click on the For Beginning Anglers section. Start reading. As you are reading you will find that you have plenty of question. Write them down and then come back on the forums and ask away. I can only remember one dumb question that has ever been asked on this site so don't worry about asking anything. This site is the best there is when you are just starting out. You will quickly notice the improvement as you participate here. Good luck and keep your line wet.
  14. Welcome, We are glad you found us.
  15. The Zoom Bait Company is located just outside of Athens, Georgia. They don't maintain their own website but their official retail site is the Anglers Supply link that BassBandit posted.
  16. All Jig trailers used to be made of Pork Skin. Unkle Josh's still makes them. So the term Jig n Pig came from using a jig with a pork trailer.
  17. Go to http://www.nbcolympics.com/video/index.html You can watch most of the games live or you can watch the replay. I watched the entire US Soccer game today. It was cool. Right now I'm watching fencing and weight lifting and judo live. Oh, it's free.
  18. The original term "Texas-Rig" was a weedless hook with a weight in front of it. But as time went by people started calling the way the worm is hooked T-Rigging with or without the weight. I guess this was because nobody could come up with a snazzy name for it. : When I first started bass fishing this was very confusing to me to. I still call the way it's hooked "weedless" most of the time.
  19. I wish mine was that clean.
  20. You can't reach the pedals of that car and I don't think RI produces a phonebook thick enough to help you see over the steering wheel. You better send it to me. Happy Birthday you old fart.
