  1. That's awesome CJ. I remember you talking about that when we were on the roadtrip. Cangrats. And it's cool that you named the company after your dad.

Just say when and I'll be on my way. 8-)
  3. Typically the spawn up north is very short. Usually a week or two.
  4. Sweet fish man, Congrats
  5. Quality and function. I like to hold a lure in my hand before I buy it. I want to know what kind of hooks it has. I want to know about the company or person who makes it and what other products they make.
  6. When I was in the Army, aside from taking x-rays, the Medical Command Sergeant Major for the entire Army found out that I could play the guitar and sing country music. So he had me flown all over the country playing at dinners for the big wigs. It was fun and I had a lot of great connections for a young soldier. I also play the piano and the drums.
  7. And just to think, my wife wants me to sell my Aluminum Triton with the 90hp...... I think I'll keep it for a while. I may not be faster than the other boats in the tournament but I am spending less money to get there.

    That's awesome.
  9. This one baffles me. Not that you suggested it, but that it happens so regularly. Am I a freak or just the luckiest guy on earth that I rarely hook a fish deep with a c-rig? Maybe I fish it too fast... or maybe I don't lose contact for more than a couple seconds. I don't remember the last time I gut hooked a fish with a C-rig either.
  10. Welcome back old buddy. It sure is good to see that your still around.
  11. You should still be able to see it in thier profiles.
  12. Sounds like they are in a ticking contest with the company they used to have their site with.
  13. Here's an old thread I started a few years ago that might help. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1114412305
  14. Bass Pros Shops David Fritts crankin reel. I have two of them and I love them.
  15. Yea, I forgot about KVD. One thing that I have noticed is as the other companies have gone to smaller, lower profile baitcasters but they have continued to make the larger ones. It's like the baitcaster is evolving and they got stuck somewhere.
  16. I don't remember hearing anything bad about Quantum. I think it may be due to lack of advertising or that they haven't come out with anything new lately. (Out of sight, out of mind.)
  17. They are great topwater baits. They are reeled along the surface like a buzzbait. Another good product that they make is the Rage Tail Minnow. It is also a topwater lure but it gives more splash.
  18. I spent all the money on Gore-Tex and fleece so I'm going. I'll fish in any weather so long as there is no lightning. I don't care if it's cold or frozen rain. I've been known to break the ice at the end of the boat ramp so I could put the boat in. If there is a small craft advisory I might reconsider but it better be a hurricane.
  19. 1. Boats need to have insulated livewells with separate recalculating and aeration pumps. They also need a removable separator. 2. Educate anglers and tournament officials on the proper care of fish in livewell. Including the use of Catch and Release or Please Release Me additives. (Extensive studies have shown that if these products are used the right way, 97% of the fish are still alive one month after the tournament.) 3. Use of a specially designed holding tank where the fish can be cared for and monitored before release. (i.e. The tank that Bass Champs uses.)
  20. I alway tend to use a smaller hook then most people so I use a 5/0. Yes they are pretty heavy compaired to the Super Fluke but I still fish them weightless. There is no reason why you shouldn't have a problem fishing them with a MH rod.
  21. I got mine three months ago. Where have ya'll been.
  22. Very true. lol I have used them and they didn't work.
  23. Piece of crap. If you really want to try them I'm sure somebody has some hidden deep in their tackle storage somewhere.
