  1. Thanks for the suggestion. We are blessed to have so many talented lure makers on this forum. Under the current rules we don't allow any free advertising but if you see some-one's work that you really like feel free to send that member a Personal Message to them and see what happens. I have done this several times and I have never been disappointed. You can also look at the person's post and those that have websites will have a WWW button at the bottom of each post. You can click on that and see if the website is one that sells their baits.
  2. A bass is a bass. Although I have never fished a strip pit before I do know that no matter where you go a bass is the same. Fish with what you know.
  3. WOW Glenn. That turned out great.
  4. No takers? Hell your only 19. I know you have time to go fishing there. It's not to far from where you live.
  5. How is the fishing on Lake Jessup this time of year?
  6. Don't wait till you get there to start taking pictures. Keep a camera with you and take pictures to document your trip. That way we can put a sweet video together when it's over. Take picture of your stuff laid out and ready to go. Take pictures while you travel. Take video if you can. Use your imagination.
  7. I have never done anything wrong so I have no clue what you guys are talking about. Your perfect Mod. fluke
  8. If it would have been weighed on common scales (lbs. oz.) you would have had 10 even! I consider you a part of the club. I'm still not in yet though."Yet" being the key word! I like the way you think CJ.
  9. I use them and I can tell you that you won't like them at all. Just pack them up and send them to me and I will take care of them. J.K. They are great. You can burn the crap out of them and the don't roll on their side. They catch fish to.
  10. Ask your brother to take a look at the livewell additives that are used to keep fish alive. This should be a factor in his study as well because many of us us them. If he needs to be pointed in the right direction just have him contact me.
  11. We are working on it and haven't forgot about you Mooks.
  12. Back many moons ago, People kept every bass they caught. Bass tournaments were 7 fish limits and you kept the bass on a stringer and cooked them after the tournament. Bass fishing became very popular and many people noticed a sharp decline in the pass population due to over harvesting. Ray Scott started the Catch and Release program in his BASS tournaments and it caught on throughout the country. Now it's like a religion. Now because it has become so popular many of the lakes are becoming overpopulated with small bass and they are crowding the big bass out. Now every year we hear more and more about Selective Harvest. This is the act of keeping a limit of the smaller more tasty bass for the table each time you go out. I heard somewhere that Ray Scott has endorsed this practice. So it's not bad to take some bass out of the waters you fish, but if you want those waters to continue to produce good bass you will be selective on which ones you take.
  13. Nope, they are on the packing list.
  14. Slabs? We ain't fishing for Crappie. lol
  15. http://www.bassresource.com/fish/picture_tutorial_avatar.html You will find it and many other things in the FAQ's
  16. Pulled stumps are some of the best bass cover I have fished. It holds fish very well. It's also some of the worst cover I have fished. I have lost more lures in those piles of stumps than any other type of fish attractor.
  17. I'm going to have a few Dobyn's Rods to loan out as well.
  18. That's great. Congrats. You should try 60 in 12inches of water. I'd rather go airborn.
  19. Well it's starting to look as though we planned this trip at the perfect time. Guntersville currently has water temps in the upper 50's with no major cold fronts in the next few days. The water is stained. The fish were on grass edges in 3-8ft of water this past week. They haven't moved shallow yet but if we get a week of good temps then "LOOK OUT". It will be on. My plan going into this is to cover some water with a spinnerbait and Med Cranks and lipless crank. The areas I am focusing on are the sharp bends in creeks and ditches. With points and grass nearby. When I get a bite I will slow down and work several different rigs along the edges of grass including a Jig, C-Rig, T-rig and Dropshot. The reason I am saying this is because this is what I do all the time. My suggestion to everyone who hasn't fished allot of different water is to fish your strengths at first and catch a few fish. Then branch out and learn new tricks from those who you are fishing with. If you are new to bass fishing then don't feel intimidated. Jump up on the front deck and ask your partner to show you how to do it.
  20. Mike, When we get into Alabama I am going to stop at a WalMart to pick up my license and we can fill my cooler with drinks and lunch stuff for the week. The cabins have fridges and like last year I will be making my lunch every morning. So plan on doing the same and there will be room in my cooler for your food as well. So are you excited yet?
  21. See the search box at the top right with the magnifying glass next to it. Type the word snake in that box and hit enter.
  22. This guy cracks me up. He's been a member for almost a year and finally decides to make a post, but his first post is nothing but a complaint about something he knows nothing about. FYI buddy. We have the largest and fastest single server available. So you need to upgrade your internet connection or fix it so it can upload streaming video. Untill then please come again.
  23. Get a cheep floating thermometer at the pet store or Wal-Mart's pet section and take it to the pond with you.
