  1. Yep and I don't even own a boat. Never worried about gas before.....now it's getting nuts. Costs me close to 50 bucks to fill up my small tacoma. Before it would only run me around 30. I know some people easily pump in over 100 into there tanks but for me 20 bucks is 20 bucks. Winter times only blessing is that I don't drive much at all. Be lucky to empty out a 1/4 of my tank in two weeks during the winter. Probably will effect my fishing even more come summer time.

I usually don't swear so I say Heck out of habit. Never thought about it I guess. To each is own.
  3. Actually today is the release date. Those aren't backorder dates. You'll probably see them up for sale come tomorrow or monday.
  4. I live in Gowanda not far away from you. I gave up the smallie bite when the trout started to come through. Never really had any luck once those trout fisherman start to crowd the banks.
  5. That is a lot of dough on LC RCs lol.
  6. I have a couple in my arsenal. Seguar Invizx and BPS XPS 8lb Fluoro. Also have some Ultras Soft #6 that I will use for my topwater needs. (floats) But the XPS is going to be my main line next year for my shakey heads, plastics, cranks and open water jigs.
  7. http://www.***.com/descpageHDCLUCKY-LCRCBDS.html Get them now because there going fast. Great deal.
  8. Agreed.....awesome info.
  9. All my biggest fish in my dads pond have come on a Green Pumpkin Black Flake Fat IKA rigged backwards. Same stuff as your pond.....really weedy on the bottom but the IKA cuts right through it when rigged weedless. Small hops off the bottom and your going to get a nice fish.
  10. What you ain 't got is scorpions and fire ants; we down here in the deep south got those plus rattle snakes, black widow spiders, bumble bees and them 1 1/2 inch red wasps that have more firepower than an Apache helicopter with attitude. Man I know lol. I went down to Louisiana for a church trip to help with some clean up and distributing food. Stepped on a fire ant hill and luckily jumped off right away. They were everywhere! Definately weird being from the North. Keeping my eyes on the ground the whole time lol. Didn't see any black widows but we did some some Recluse (spelling?). Didn't see scorpions thank goodness.
  11. I used the Ultra Steel weights this summer when actually fishing using bullet heads. But I did pick up some Tru-Tungsten weights this offseason. They are a lot smaller. Look forward to using them next year.
  12. I agree guys. Besides.....I do all my shopping for Christmas online. Amazon.com is a mans best friend. Hate Walmart around this time of year. Stay clear of it all the way. People are nuts and rude. So Amazon.com gives me everything that walmart can plus I don't have to pay for gas to drive there, no tax, free shipping, and I don't have to deal with people being rude and yelling at there kids and I can do all my shopping from the comfort of my home and spend less money. No brainer if you ask me.
  13. Rattle Snakes and Copper Heads are not friendly and plentiful throughout Rural NY We don't have copper heads in Western NY. There may be a stray rattle snake around but mainly in the eastern parts of NY state. Pretty much nothing to fear up here in Western NY except snow lol.
  14. Weighs 2 ounces. That takes me out of the game lol. Don't have the money to upgrade to a setup that will let me fish it. But your right Robert. It would be killer around my parts.

*** had an awesome price on the Rick Clunn 1.5s I think I paid around 12 bucks for them.
  16. Happens to me all the time. The wife is always finding soft plastics in the washing machine. OOPSS!! Actually had some Berkley trout worms go through the other day. :'(
  17. It doesn't even feel right beating you guys this year. I have great pity on you! ;D My family and I have a tradition to go to the Bills/Fins game every year in Buffalo. Praying for snow for this one. I love the snow bowls!
  18. I agree. I live up north just south of Buffalo. BUT every Saturday I look forward to turning on CBS and watching the SEC. No favorite team. Just love to watch good competitive football. Best in the NCAA if you ask me.
  19. That is why I love NY state. We may get snow and ice up here.......but the wildlife is usually all pretty friendly. ;D
  20. Nope no specific reason. Good advice on the split rings. Thanks.
  21. Thanks man. Do you guys go with the red hooks or just stay with the normal colors of black and silver?

Love Owner Hooks. In the process of getting the smaller sizes in my tacklebag right now. I was a big Gammy man and still have a nice selection. But if I have the the size I need in an Owner than thats what I will use. In the incision it puts into the fish is clean and it doesn't tear the fish creating big gaps at all. Have huge confidence in them. You won't be disappointed. Most of mine are the Wide Gap Plus series in 3/0, 4/0, 5/0, and 7/0 for my big 12" worms.
  23. Never really thought about replacing trebles on my cranks. So I plan on doing it this year. But I'm so horribly new to this that I have no clue on sizes of hooks to order. What brands are really good for trebles? I'm an owner man but what about VMC? Maybe I can get some recommendations from the board. These are the baits that I want to change out. 2 - Rattletraps: both are 1/2 ounce sizes 1 - Bandit 100 1 - Rapala rattlin rapala. Very old hooks....really rusted. Think its the 3/8 ounce version. Now you ask me about worm hooks and I know my stuff but never before have I even looked at trebles and how the sizes work. Thanks in advance!
  24. Agreed. Except I'm not a huge hockey fan. Love my Buffalo Bills and college football though.
