  1. Heck yeah they work. My # producing worm by far. The scent does NOT wash off. I also wait for my worms to dry and then throw them right back in the bag after use. Good as new. Original powerbait is awesome. Now the GULP is another story. Not a fan of that at all. I like to swim my power worms in ponds or just let the current in the creeks take them down. Great for smallies and largemouth alike.
  2. When you get a chance. Get some skirtless football jigheads with a small weedguard. Then crawl em along the bottom.
  3. 1) *** Trick Stick - Watermeleon Purple Swirl 2) Berkley Power Worms 7" Those are my best baits.
  4. Yep. My adrenaline is pumping for the next 48 hours and I'm ready to gnaw a 2x4 in half. ;D It's even worse if you can't see exactly how big it is but you know it's a giant.
  5. I doubt I'll drop shot em. There too big IMO. I know there only 4.5" but they look just like a 5" senko....maybe a bit fatter. So I'll probably t-rig em and drag them on the bottom.
  6. I guess..... To me I welcome all sizes.... I just love to catch fish.
  7. There a pretty fat bait. 10" would probably not work if it was that long with the added girth. They have a similar profile to a Senko. There not thin.
  8. Having had to deal with most of those except being on a lake in a boat.......I would choose losing a big one by far. Had a that happen once this year and my line snapped due to a poor knot. I was ticked off for a good week because of that one. Ice is a close second but I have been able to get a lot done around the house with not being able to fish. So that's a positive.
  9. Not that I could see. But the bait is very soft and flimsy. Going to drag it as soon as the ice melts.
  10. Anyone give these a whirl yet? Ordered some from Delos. They came in earlier this week and they look sweet!!!! Have a nice powerbaitish scent to them as well.
  11. #4 and #6 Gammy Split Shot hook.
  12. That's fine. But I think your trying to pass them off as two different baits when in fact the mods and others have said that they are NOT different. Except for some colors.
  13. Thanks for the tips.
  14. I would love to do it as well. Don't have a boat but I live only an hour away from Erie, PA.
  15. I bought some Yozuri like RW recommended. I also picked up some BPS XPS Fluoro in 8lb that sounds good as well.
  16. Brent you have given me some of those in the past. What is the best way to rig them? Insert the hook at the tail and T-rig em?
  17. Around 4 inches. Caught it on a 3" trick stick. Crazy.
  18. Being shore bound for most of my fishing spots I carry only two. My medium xfast and my ultralight rod for bream if I get snuffed with the bass.
  19. I do both with my spinning setups with no problems. Could a baitcaster do a better job at pitching? Probably but I just prefer spinning gear.

I use the Gammy hook made for GYCB in a size 4 for 5" Senko style baits. Called a GYCB Split shot hook. Perfect size and the hooks are strong. I go down to a size 6 if I'm fishing slim senko style baits or 4" senko styles. Try not to set the hook hard either. Just reel in and the hook will lodge itself in the corner of the fishes mouth. The hooks are very sharp and will penetrate just fine. One of the writers for Gary Y's site also agrees. Good article that you should read. http://www.insideline.net/1999/xiques-0910-99.html
  21. I have the same President. I also wouldn't go any heavier than the 6735. Nice reel though and so far it feels good on my AS68mxf Avid.
  22. Johnny your going to love the Fat Ika. Drooling over throwing them again once the ice melts. Bass just crush em. Pair them up with some Owner Wide Gap Plus hooks in a 4/0 size and rig em backwards. You won't regret it. The other stuff I really haven't fish. Tried the brush hogs a couple of times but I wasn't really pitchin or flippin them into cover. Berkley Beast is my new plastic that I bought that I can't wait to try. Ordered it in the 5" size.
  23. I keep all my plastics in there original bags and store them in shoe boxes. The morning of my trip I decide on what I want to throw based on what I think the waters conditions are like. Then I'll put them in my tackle bag. I have too many plastics to take them all. In return I can do less thinking and more fishing. Sometimes I will also bring the plastics that I don't fish often at all. This forces me to work these baits more than I would if I had my old reliables.
  24. One usually has a different profile to them. Flukes usually are more long than a shad jerk bait. Shads are more fat in the belly area. That is one difference. Personally I like fluke type baits better in my waters.
  25. Have had both happen to me. With the extras that Brent has sent me I mix them. I put the beavers with the beavers but they are all different colors. So far no bleeding problems and it has been about 6 months. Same with the Trick sticks extras that I have. Different colors are all in one plastic bag. No bleeding. BUT I have other types of plastics from other places that are in a hard case mixed. They have bled into one another. Berkley power worms being my main culprit. They will bleed if you mix them. Depends on the plastic used in the bait I guess.
