Evolution Heavy Cover Jigs
Agreed. Not happy with the skirts at all. Very uneven. Time will tell come spring if these babies produce. But for the price.....I dunno.

Baby Paca Craw vs. Rage Tail Craw and The Chunk?
Yep. Bought the Black Bling not long ago. They are nice.

Baby Paca Craw vs. Rage Tail Craw and The Chunk?
For my applications, I will find out this spring. Used the Paca Chunk last year and it had awesome action. Bought the Baby and regular size Paca Craws this offseason along with a bag of Green Pumpking Rage Tail Craws. Should get some nice action with those creek smallies in shallow water.

A typical saturday
I choose #2. The day I caught my personal best smallie of almost 5 lbs was awesome! Caught one 8" smallie dink before that but I was smiling for a couple days straight. No camera, no pic, but that memory is still there for me to think about and smile.

Offset Shank Worm Hook Vs. EWG Hook
I have. Just like a Gammy IMO. They work well but now that I have Owners in my bag I don't really used them anymore. They come with some glass beads though.

Big Show Paddleworm.......YUM
I purchased mine from Dick's Sporting Goods. They had them hanging on Yum cardboard display.

Offset Shank Worm Hook Vs. EWG Hook
Tony I use EWG a lot. But I never totally embed it in the plastic. I always fish it tex-posed. With the point resting on top of the plastic. When I want to embed it in the plastic than I go to a regular offset hook.

Diawa Exceler Spinning Reel
Actually I do own a president 7135 and it's on my Avid AS68mxf. That's my plastics combo. Been hearing good thinks about the Exceler so I was looking at it for another application. Thanks for the advice though! I agree the president is a nice reel for the price.

Diawa Exceler Spinning Reel
http://www.***.com/descpage.html?PCODE=DES Looking real hard at putting this on one of my emptry spinning rods. Want to get into cranking more this year and have heard good things on this reel. With it being geared low I think this would be a good option for cranking and some slow dragging. Does anyone have any experience with them? Definatley would be going with the 2500. This is also my price range. So please no Shimano pimping. Not interested. 8-)

Big Show Paddleworm.......YUM
Think the action would be pretty nice on a t-rig weightless as well. Durability could be a concern though....that's how thin it is between the tail and body. But 15 do come in a pack for the 6" version.

Big Show Paddleworm.......YUM
Funny seeing is how I said in past threads that I don't like YUM stuff and I would probably not buy any of there product anymore. Especially with * prices and great baits. But last night this bait caught my eye at Dicks Sporting Goods. That slab between the body and paddletail is very thin. Can't wait to try these out on a shakey head. Purchased this color in the 6" size. Really is something different. sidenote: If you have a Dicks near you check them out. They had a ton of Berkley Powerbaits Original scent on sale. Picked up a pack of 4" Chigger Craws on sale for 2.40 a pack.

Owner Stinger st-36 in Red..... No explanation needed with the Owner name.

Berkley Blade Dancers
I throw one on every once in a while. Never really produced anything great. BUT I almost had a heart attack once while I was vertically jigging one. Just when I started to bring it out of the water, a nice brown trout came storming up from below.........of coarse it scared the crap out of me and I pulled the bait out of the water. But for bass......better options out there.

Tackle Warehouse kicks tail
Agreed. They are very quick. I live near Buffalo and there from Cali. Only takes 4-5 days to reach me. Ships out the same day as I order everytime.

I've heard the exact opposite. Heard that the bills are pretty strong and can take a beating.

Canoes and bass fishing
I have a 6 person Coleman inflatable raft and I love it! You can slide right OVER the weed beds with no problem. Plus its quiet. I'm able to find those small holes and plop a jig down there and shake it. Love it.

Strike King Rage Tail Shad?
So its rigged with the flat side up like the illustration? I would have thought it would be the other way. I may just give these a whirl.

Texas Rig Ole School
Agreed. Can't wait to give this a whirl come spring. Thanks Catt.

First time user of braid here......I have some questions
Thanks for the tips guys. Really appreciate it. Probably not going to use a leader since the water I fish isn't very clear. Should be fine, correct? Also is a Palomar knot going to be good for tying on my jigs and worms?

First time user of braid here......I have some questions
Okay so last night I picked up some 30lb Power Pro for tossing some jigs and worms in this swamp that I fish after the ice melts. But I have some questions as I'm brand new to braid. 1) This will be on a spinning outfit......tips on how I should spool it onto my spinning reel? 2) Have heard that braid will knick or cut guides. I'm not the richest dude on the planet. I have an Avid that I will be using this on. To me that's a high end rod for my lifestyle. Should I be concerned of Power Pro nicking up my Avid? I don't want to be replacing rods every couple of years on my budget. 3) I always hear about using mono as a backing. What does this mean? The reel that I will be applying it on is either going to be my Pflueger President 6735 or a Diawa Exceler 2500. Any other thoughts or tips for a first time braid user is appreciated. Thanks!

Hula Grub/Spider Grub Recommendations
Throw em on a football jighead as your trailer. Then drag them or hop them. Deadly in rocky areas.
