Last night was rough. Big Bills fan here. Watched the whole thing. My wife said that I must love getting kicked in the junk over and over again. Talk about a butt kicking.

My wife is always saying that my 8 year old and I are like brothers. We argue like brothers and have good times like brothers. We play video games, go fishing, throw the football around, etc. When I try to discipline though she gets all mad. I swear I have no clue what she wants me to be half the time.

I'm not a PETA lover either. But I do have some serious love for the Bass. Everytime I see someone taking one home it does kind of pee me off for some reason. I love catching them and releasing them. Just a healthy respect I guess. I won't look down on people that do take bass home or what not.......BUT it does bother me a bit. Trout is a different story all together. Don't ask me why. Yes I am weird. ;D

I have a Wii and there are a couple out there. Rapala - JUNK Hooked! - Haven't played it but the reviews are horrible. Everytime you cast a cheesy voices comes on and tells you how good it was. When your fighting a fish an annoying voice tells you how to move your controller. If there was an option to turn this off it probably would be a lot better. But watching the videos and reading user reviews there is not a way to turn it off. Fishing Master - more of an arcade type game. Hopefully Sega Bass Fishing comes to the rescue. That will be out in '08 at some point. For now the fishing on Zelda is your best bet. Seriously. Thinking about selling my Wii to tell you the truth. Growing out of the gaming phase.

Where ya fishing at leo? PA, Ohio, NY? Haven't had too many reports of any huge steelhead out of the Catt Creek yet. Lots of fisherman crowding the banks though.

Agreed 100%. I use pretty much Owners and Gammys all the time. You do not need wild hook sets with these better hooks. Especially when tex-poseing.

Seriously that is me lol. My lucky fishing hat is a john deere hat and I'm always wearing a cut off white fruit of a loom shirt when fishing on nice days. 8-) That must be my problem! ;D

I may just end up going that route. Myself.....I wouldn't pay for something like this but for a christmas present....why not. 8-) It probably is the easiest FF for my needs. Not like I'm fishing big lakes in my raft.

I have the same size president. 6735. I have it on my as68mxf Avid. Been pretty happy with it so far. Very smooth. I do not have any experience with the Shimano line at all so I can't comment on it.

You may be able to still catch fish as long as there is open water with no ice...............BUT I personally don't have the patience for it. I was done fishing at the end of October. My reels are all unspooled...cleaned...and put away. With me not having any electronics and fishing from shore mostly. Its just not worth my time. Let alone me not having any time now that its pitch black out at 5pm.

Already unspooled and cleaned two of my reels. Just not worth going out right now. Don't have the patience to dead stick. So now I sit and wait until spring. :'( This is up just south of Buffalo by the way.

I have a quick question. I have a inflatable 6 man raft that I take out on my small lake/pond. What do you guys recommend for a inflatable like mine that gets torn down after I'm out of the water. I really have no experience in fish finders nor how they are set up. But I think it would be a huge advantage to see that structure on the bottom. Right now I just drift down the banks and totally ignore the open water because its like trying to find a needle in a haystack out there. Don't really want anything like this smart cast as I don't want to take the chance of spooking fish. Can a fish finder be hooked up on a raft? Yes dumb question I know.

What are you guys most productive colors. I have the following in my arsenal. Bubblegum Bruised Banana Okeechbee (whatever lol) Craw Some sites have some colors that I have never seen before like Bluegill and Rainbow trout. Tempted to pick them up. Just love them Trick Worms. ;D

Don't mean to be blunt here.......DONT BE DUMB!!!! Get your butt to school. Fishing shouldn't be your life man. It's something we enjoy but it shouldn't control you. IMO it is sounding like its taking first place over all other things and controlling you. Just a thought man. Go get your degree and than take some time off if you want before getting that job after college. But don't take the time off before because chances are you won't end up going in the future.

But did Dave act fast enough? That is the question. :-?

Hey man I thought I read somewhere that you like to use the Riggin Hooks from Owner. A huge Owner fan myself and I just picked up the last pack of Riggin Hooks from Dicks. 3/0 is the size. Thinking about using these hooks with my GYCB Kreatures since they have a short body. What other baits do you have success with on these hooks and what other size do you recommend. Thanks man! 8-)

Man......think I will stick to my raft. When I upgrade than a jon boat should do lol. Just too much cost involved for me. Especially just for a recreational fisherman that likes to go out for only a couple hours.

From what I have learned your not going to want the XF action for cranks. You may just end up ripping a big hole in there mouths with that firm tip on a big hookset. MLF probably is a bit too soft for what you want it for with the plastics. I think it was Chris Tech that said it was too "whippy" for his tastes. I have the as68mxf and it works great for my senko style baits, IKAs, flukes, etc. Haven't tried cranks on it yet. But it's a pretty good stick for my style of fishing. Jerkbaits and spinnerbaits work good on it as well. So if your a bank beater like me this rod does a great job for that style of fishing.
