  1. Picture of your 15lb bass and I'll tell you everything
  2. Did you mean X-3, or is that the wrong picture? You know whats funny for a lot of products, it's almost always cheaper to buy a lure from a 3rd party store, like TW for instince, but as I remember (I did ALOT of price comparing when I bought my slammer a couple years ago) is that is was cheaper to by directly from Mike. He also sent me 2 spare tails, a MS Slammer Pen and a couple stickers with my order as well.
  3. 8" Huddleston ROF12 in Trout I've gone through WAYYYY to many this year.
  4. So I bought a XBox 360 controller online and the guy threw in this janky headset made by some little Chinese boy. It works great and It was really cool of this guy to throw it in, but what really made me laugh is the words on the back of the packaging. It's all in English, but none of it makes sense. Below is EXACTLY what it reads on the back.... word for word. It is made in China, so maybe they need to fire their translator :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/ Funny stuff, I got a good laugh out of it!! Does any of that make sense to you guys?
  5. Great, another movie for Depp to creap the $*(% out of me Good actor, but ever since I watched Edward Scissor Hands, he just creeps me out sometimes. He definately fits the part of most kookie characters.
  6. WOW.... So I bought a Loomis swimbait rod (956) a year and a half ago for somewhere around the $220 mark new. I've really been thinking about selling it (I've burnt myself out on the swimbait scene) and was checking prices, they bumped the 956 up to $275 . For those Loomis Aficionado's, did they bump up their whole line of rods, or just a few select models. All I can say is I'm glad I bought my Loomis's before the price increase. :-/
  7. ... Your so selfish Matt : J/K of course, I hope your dad can get his transplant!!!!
  8. sure is lol. my stainless steel wire was making the bait sit too low in the water, so i just used hook eyes as the hook hangers. if i was making the bait for myself, i would have only put one hook hanger on it, but my friend wanted two. Hmmmm.... Do they even make hooks small enough so 2 could fit on that bait without tangling with each other. I'm not knocking your bait at all... it's pretty cool but i'm with you, if it were my bait I'd want just one hook. Keep up the good work!

Great bait. You won't be disappointed. It's seems big at first, but after awhile your going to wish it was bigger. I would suggest throwing the bait on 20# Mono. I throw mine on 20# Pline CXX. Some of my buddies throw it on 17# but I prefer a little more strength. I find most of my strikes come from a "Jerkbait" like retreive. Stop and go, give it a couple jerks, reel in, stop, etc. Deadsticking works great too. This bait WILL NOT turn 180 degrees like double jointed baits. you can get it to turn 90 degrees or so by twitching it, but to my knowledge only double jointed baits have the ability to turn 180 degrees. Have fun with it, it's an addicting bait!!!!
  10. Side imaging sonar, then 4D ultra sound . Pretty cool crap if you ask me. CONGRATS on the addition!!!!
  11. Is that 2 hook eys I see on that 1" popper
  12. I'm Rubber, your glue... whatever you say bounces off of me and sticks to you Just thought of that one from my elementary school days
  13. I do miss cadberry eggs when it is not easter, does that count? -gk Cadberry used to sell an egg that was filled with chocolate goo instead of the egg yok looking stuff. I bought a dozen that year, but have yet to see them on the shelves again. This was about 4 years ago. They were really good.
  14. NO, we will track down the lizard. He will never disappear... there are ways to find him.
  15. Good times bud, good times!! Besides the massive mosquito bites and raging sunburn I'm ready to do it again. I gotta say, between this lake and Lake K, we have seriously been spoiled in trout lakes. I have no desire to go anywhere else. What really sucked about the Golden lake is how crowded it became. That was one reason we left a day early. By the time we left, there were roughly 20 people at this tiny lake, and 8 LOUD dogs. Kinda dissapointing with a lake like that. Oh well, I'd still do it again.
  16. +1. I own the 7'2" M crucial DS rod. The split grip and drop shot weight keeper are pretty cool features. You won't be dissapointed with this rod.
  17. Teirra 2000 is a SWEET reel. I've been a big fan of Shimano reels, but this one has a big role in my arsenal.
  18. I got a couple before they were released to the public. Never fished them and the eyes came off. I'm pretty sure they fixed the problem though. I've only thrown them once, I'm not a fan of paddle tails like this, so I was not expecting anything exciting, nor was I excited when I threw it. They look like every other paddle tail out on the market. But I will say that the hidden hook in the dorsal fin idea does work. At least they didn't completely knock off the whole paddle tail idea and added some sort of innovative idea of their own. And yes.... smallies WILL hit it.
  19. Well to answer the original question..... I vote for the Born Again... it really is in a class of it's own. It's not JUST a wake bait, but you can crank it down a few feet, twitch it, wake it, etc. You will not be disappointed. Yes it is expensive, but IMO it is worth every penny. But something to think about (because you mentioned you only have thrown baits up to 2.4oz), you will probably need a heavier rod. I originally threw it on a Loomis 956. While it could throw it alright, the rod was pretty underpowered. So I bought a Okuma 7'11" XH. This is a GREAT rod for the BA. As well as hudds, Magnum trout, etc. Just something to think about. Good luck with your pick!!
  20. +100000000 Ebby makes a good point. Also, think about the anglers you are targeting with the low price point. Your bound to get more "low budget swimbaiters" (No pun intended) that normally buy $10 swimbaits. Now they buy yours for more, they expect it to be bullet proof and want a long paint life. To me it doesn't matter. It's like war wounds.... you wear them proud ;D . But with ebby's point, I would like to see the bait itself bulletproof rather than the paint.... you can always repaint a bait., you can't rebuild it.
  21. Cool idea Russ, never thought about that. I might have to give it a try. Thanks
  22. Nice fish Russ.... The bait is looking better and better. Keep up the good work!!!
  23. I sure wish Taco Tree would expand. It's just not worth the 30 min drive to Auburn to get it... good call though!!
  24. I would not get anything higher than a 6.X.1 reel. Most swimbaits you want to work slow, so having a 7.X.1 reel is pointless. With that said, the cardiffs are a pretty solid reel for the money. I've also heard good things about the Luna. I guess it depends on how much you want to spend.
