I'm in the same boat... I get scared to try new things... especially with these fast food companies. I'm still on Taco Bell Burnout after my vacation to Reno, NV. Right next door to my hotel the Taco Bell had .59c tacos ;D . After about 35 or so They no longer tasted like tacos... :-/

I'll throw this thread back on track a bit so it doesn't get locked.... Went to Reno Nevada a couple months back to relax on a free trip I won. Only gave myself $20 bucks to gamble with. So I sat down at a penny machine and just threw in a dollar. Ended up leaving the machine with $15. Later that night I threw in $5 on a 2 cent machine and cashed out at $30. I took $40 of my winning and threw it down on 1 hand of blackjack.... ended up winning. So I played the same table on $40 original dollars for a little over an hour. I ended up loosing all of it... but what really killed me is I lost SIX (6) hands when I had 20. 3 times in a row the dealer got blackjack. :'(

You used to be able to buy around 3-4 minutes of Destiny for $20. I haven't been in one of those places in a long while but I'm sure that rate has gone up due to inflation. 10 bucks in WV. One of the many thing to love about West-by god-Virginia.... $10... that's it? :-? That must be the one you get pink eye from... :-/

Hell, that's nothing. To me, $50 is practically giving these things away. Hold one and use it. You'll quickly see it's worth the investment. $50 for that bait is a steal. He sent me an email this morning about it and I had to re-read the price . I must resist the urge though!!!

Was in your same boat. The G/F despised anything to do with fishing. Out spite once, she threw all of my fishing gear on the patio in the rain after a fight.... It's not worth it. You did the right thing. It's plain and simple, you need someone who can accept your hobbies and what you love to do... what makes you happy. My fishing life was better after the fact. For those of you who have been to Hawaii (The Big Island) and have been fishing there, can you recommend any places to fish. I would ultimately like to fish for peacock or even Dorado. I will be staying on the Northwest coastline. Is there any lakes around that area? I will be there from Sept. 26 - Oct 3. Any help or information would be great. You can PM me if you want. Well I'm pretty sure me and him are on the same page with this so i'll chime in... Those chains can and will knick the h#ll out of your line. Personally I'd rather bang the heck out of the lure for another 5 minutes with no chains than have the slight possibility of knicking the line and breaking it off while trying to bang it free with the chains. With that being said I only use the knocker for my swimbaits
