!!!!!!NEED HELP IN CALIFORNIA!!!!!!
Urban gave you some great info if you guys decide to do the LA area. I don't do the guide's either, but if you go to San Fran I would consider the Delta. Definitely a prized fishery in Nor Cal. The only guide that I can recall is Cooch. I've seen him in tourney's before. Kind of a weird old man but there's no doubt that he would keep you entertained lol. http://www.coochsfishing.com/ Also something that popped up on a search - http://www.valleyoutdoorsmen.com/fishing/deltafishing/deltafishinginformation.htm Good luck! California fishing isn't as easy as it some people make it seem. But hiring a guide is a good first step. Brandon

Which Large Paddle Tail "Swimbait"?
- WHEN
+1 It's nice seeing Shasta 12 ft from spilling over... even Oroville is slowly filling up... 35 ft in one month! While these d**n stores are slowing me down for the high country fishing, they are much needed!- (bad) joke
I'm suing you for that 10 seconds of my life back... you'll be hearing from my lawyer shortly....- World Record from El Salto?
+1- Realy bad taxidermy!
On a way to a lake that 4bizz and I fish there is a casino that we often visit for some cheap grub. On the walls of this casino are THE worst trout mounts I have ever seen in person. The bodies are often lumpy and are not symetrical whatsoever. The best part is that the company who took credit for these labeled some of them as "Topaz Tazidermy". Not trying to bash this company, as maybe this is their "oops" mounts, but I sure wouldn't put my name on these mounts and I sure as heck would fire the person incharge of spelling. I'm going up there in the next month. I'll take pics...- Fatty home made foods.
mmm.. that sounds amazing right now!- Simple computer question
You get what you pay for... $200 for a computer.... :-/ BTW - Did you ever get that hard drive adapter I told you about?- Modern Warfare 2
Cold Blooded Pro + Stinger = Death to the sky!!! I have a dedicated Class just for this. First time I get shot by them I switch over and bring destruction to the sky. Certain ones like the AC130's take 3 or 4 shots because they drop the flares, but my buddy and I always play together and he has the dedicated class as well. So the enemies kill streaks NEVER get a chance to do much destruction. I've found that there is a viscous circle going on. There are campers and then there are the noob tubers that randomly shoot to try to kill the campers because they can't kill them otherwise.- Modern Warfare 2
I've been told that there is an option for "Friends only" where you only hear your friends through the TV. I normally just mute everybody. You can do it when your playing by pressing "Back or Start" on your controller to bring up the teams and death/kills. Simply press "A" on each player and it will mute them.- Anyone getting an Ipad?
- Hook Size for 10" worms
+1 for 7/0 I use owner 11/0 for 10+ inch worms- Modern Warfare 2
I do that in afghan on a pretty regular occurence (1 out of 4 games i get kills). I've got the angle down right and if the guys decide to go the path I'm shooting at I usually get at least one kill. Last night I got the predator in afghan from firing a single thumper. We spawned next to the grass/orchard thing, I lined up my angle really quick and fired, shot the humvee and blew up 5 dudes! I know those guys had to be PO'd after watching that kill cam! I'm not a fan of the guys who do nothing but shoot grenade launchers. It gets old really quick when they start using the OMA for this purpose. I've watched guys use it to set up 15 claymores then hide and wait for kills.- Havent been this excited in awhile
Did you go to Toms property? Heard someone crashed a car into his gate?- College Text Books
+1 if they have your books!- Modern Warfare 2
I have to buy a hard drive so I can download it. Hard drive is on the way! ;D- I got myself a bone cyst - Any input?
Thanks guys. Just talked to the doctor. The MRI consists of two dye shots into my shoulder. Each one hour apart. After the second shot I must wait one hour until the MRI. Good chance of surgery for me, especially if they find my bone is weak or fractured. I did the wrong thing and researched the surgery as well as looked at pictures. The picture contained a photo of a mans arm, sliced all the way open with the bone visable. His muscles, tissue, skin were held in place with vice grip looking tools. Then there was the doctors hand and a tool that looked similar to a dremel tool on this guys bone grinding out the cyst. Can't say that i'm excited for surgery anymore. I guess once they grind out the cyst they either take bone from a bone bank (someone elses bone) or they cut you open again and take bone from your pelvis area to place in the hole now in your bone :-/ Jay - ahhh, what are friends for but to kick you when your down ;D Thanks bud. BTW - our reservation for the permit came in yesterday. Need to pick it up the day/night before or no later than 10am the day we leave.- I got myself a bone cyst - Any input?
Well the discomfort in my shoulder finally got the best of me after a progresion of soreness, some pain, and discomfort since high school (4 years). Ever since I threw my arm out junior year while pitching i've had isolated problems with my right elbow. From being able to pop it on demand, to it getting stiff during cold weather, to discomfort when laying on it, and finally to pain when it pops. It always feel like it's tense and has pressure. So I finally went to the doctor and got a Xray, they discovered I have a "proximal humerus aneurysmal bone cyst" within my shoulder joint. I go in for a MRI on the 7th. The said it's not cancerous which is good news, but they are worried i have a fractured bone. I guess the cyst weakens the bone and the bone is thin close to the cyst. So, I'm hoping that everything goes smoothly, but recently found out that I have family who have had cysts before, all of which ended up in surgery. My grandpa that passed away had 2 of them, both in the shoulders as well. Unfortunately the family doesn't remember much about the process. So, has anyone had or have bone cysts in their body before? If so whats the surgery like? Do you regain the strength back in that joint? Just curious on anybodies input on this, as this is the first "major" thing i've had go wrong with my body. Unfortunately it has effected my fishing, as i've officially pulled the plug on throwing the big baits. Tried it one last time this friday, but after throwing the hudd around for 30 minutes, my shoulder become sore and weak. So, now comes to time I must sell some of the big baits :'( So keep an eye out on the flea market. Thanks for any input guys.- Swimbait Line
What kind of swimbaits are you throwing and whats your setup? I run 15-30# Pline CXX on my rigs, but when throwing 4+oz baits I prefer strength, and CXX is tough!- NEWWWWWWWWWWWWW RECORD!
Wow, didn't expect that from New Melones...at all! :-?- Weirdest Thing You've Ever Hooked?
A couple buddies and I went on a fishing trip a couple years back for a few days and nights of hardcore fishing in the rain and wind. One buddy caught a 9 iron One buddy caught a new jar of powerbait I caught some sort of muscle .... that is all we caught :-/- Is this normal ? Or, am I just getting old ?
Glad to see your back at it Chris. It's wierd but when I bass fish, I tend to get caught up in the "I want to catch fish" idea and truly forget to step back and breathe in the fresh air. With that being said, I haven't gone bass fishing in 5 months (Not counting two trips simply to "wet a line"). Unless I'm with my dad and enjoying his company, bass fishing is more work than enjoyment. But on the flip side, I got back into my roots and started trout fishing last year. Not the planted 8 inchers, but fish that I have to work for. Hiking into remote area's, fishing for rare species, etc. With this type of fishing you find yourself in prestine and remote areas with hardly any sign of human life. I have yet to find an area where I can bass fish that can show me the scenary I find in trout lakes. Many of the trout lakes I go to I find myself in complete aww of the scenary. To me I find it much more relaxing as I don't get caught in the hype of the "bass fishing world". The picture is of a lake me and 4bizz hiked into for a couple days. This is a peak at 10,000 feet. In my opinion the view behind us was 10 times better. But chris I must say, living in California we do have some awesome lakes that provide us with a great fishery and a view to go with it.- Swimbait storage
- Confidence Lost...
It happened to me last year... so I stopped bass fishing for awhile... a long while actually. Just wet a line for the first time in 6 months 2 weeks ago.- Best scale (digital)
I don't know your fishing habits.... but I would not recommend getting the 15lb scale you mentioned. You would hate yourself if you caught a fish over 15#. Just my .02c - WHEN
