  1. I'll keep with it especially if I get some hogs. After a dozen or so dinks, i'll try switching something to get some big ones to bite.
  2. Favorite lure is the wake jr. I just wish it was topwater season ALL YEAR long. Most productive..... probably a t-rigged watermelon 5" senko and a huddy for a close second.
  3. they were the first fish caught on these lures. I'm always excited when I switch to a lure i've never used before and catch fish. Went out yesterday and caught a majority of my fish on an x-rap..... This lure has never seen water before and it was the first time i've thrown it, but it just fit the pattern and i now gained confidence in it. Dumped a 6-7 at the boat because of a net malfunction, boated a few 4's including the 4-5 below. And a handful of 2-3's and also a 1 1/2 on an 8in HUDDLESTON. This fish had a big appetite. I am happy about this catch. Caught her on the wake jr awhile back. My first and only fish on this sweet $80 bait. She was somewhere around 5
  4. That was awesome. Can anybody translate for us????
  5. Cool pics. I bet you could use that kissing pic for blackmail when she gets older.
  6. The cheapest ones. I rig mine so if it gets stuck, the weight will come off before I break the line. If I dropshot alot, i'll loose 6-10 in a day. I usually use the round ones, but heard the long cylinder ones work pretty well.
  7. HAHAHAHA.... gotta love cali. The only one with all red. I paid 3.89 the other day. I've been walking to work, it's only a 2 mile round trip, but saves me some money. On the lake, i've been doing alot of half throttle on the big lakes, and have noticed a good difference in gas saving. I think i'm gonna start asking for fishing partners to help a little more with gas on long trips. It's costing $85-$100 for gas to go to lakes 2 hrs away. It's definately hurting.
  8. I've already warned my gf that the more gas goes up, the less I can spend on her so I can still afford to go fishing ;D. I slept on the couch that night, and the next night, on so on . It's worth it though!!!
  9. OK NOW IM ticked!!!!!!!!!!!! I got my 2nd rod back from TW today, and the same f'in thing. Bottom guide is bent (It's wierd cause it's bent the same exact way) and the epoxy is chipped and cracked. I'm not too worried about the guide because it isn't bent bad enough to really cause any problems. I'm more worried about the epoxy around the frame. Has anyone had this problem with any of the loomis rods. It's really making me mad, i've waited and waited and I still can't use the rod. I don't know what to do, I don't want to wait for another rod to ship out, but I don't want to throw a damaged rod and have to end up paying $50 for the warranty. Any help guys, it's really frustrating me, I don't expect this from a $250 rod. Sorry for the rant!!
  10. Now thats a good day. Congrats!!!
  11. I have a few fishing partners, I mostly go out with 4bizz, and as many of you can guess, he kicks my @$$ all the time. I've only outfished him twice in the 2-3 years i've been fishing with him. I'd rather have it that way, because he gets real crabby when I outfish him. I really think it helps fishing with someone better than you, I always learn something when that way.
  12. A friend did something similar to that the other day. She came over and wanted a hot pocket. I told her 1:50...... she did it for 5 minutes.... . Sorta looked like the tootpick vid. It took 3 days for the smell of smoke to leave my house, but everytime I turn the micro on, it stills stinks.
  13. Do you guys know if you can go online and watch the episodes like some other shows. I missed it last night, it sounded like a good one.
  14. I got hooked a week ago. I just started getting caught up on all the episodes and am ready for the new ones to start. It is a cool show. I would die out there, that's some tuff work!!!
  15. Sorry guys, but i'm first on the list... hahaha, it says something when you got haters bud. Nice fish, way to whack em'. I'm thinking we need to take the boston out for the rest of the year, forget "moley" and the "sea nympho".
  16. Set the hook Reel as fast as you can Get the fish on plane Don't give them a chance to jump You won't lose them that way
  17. I called up TW today and they are sending a replacment overnight along with return shipping for my broken one for me to send back. ;D I am so glad that they took care of this, this is why I shop here all the time and will continue to shop here.
  18. Double as a pike/muskie rod?!?!?!?! I live in cali, what would i do with that? Yea, I'm upgrading from the okuma, it was a good stick, but after throwing the hudd and a loomis 956, it was love at first sight. I would assume that a big company like that would do right and not make me pay for shipping. I know it wasn't the shipping company that broke it, because TW sent the rod in a concrete tube. I'm glad to see many of you have had good customer service with them. I'm just bummed that it's sitting here in my living room, looking at me, telling me to use it, and I can't. What a tease!!!! Thanks guys
  19. So I finally broke down and bought a loomis rod, I got the SWBR956C. It is one sweet swimbait stick. I just received it today (It was delivered 1 hour after I left for the lake :'( )Anyway, I took it out of the package, and was admiring it, getting ready to stick a Calcutta on it when I noticed on the first guide, where the frame attaches to the rod, the epoxy is all cracked around it and the guide is all bent. Now I know i didn't snag it while I was taking it out, with a $250 dollar rod, I was handling it with extreme care. So now I don't know what to do, I got it from TW, and sent them an email, but I'm not going to pay loomis $50 for a rod that I received defective, and I'm not going to pay $20 to ship the rod back to TW when they sent me a defective rod in the first place. . Anybody have any ideas, thanks.
  20. I always bring 4. But on some trips I could use more, some trips I could use less. But 4 is usually close to the right amount. 1 spinning, 2 BC, and 1 swimbait
  21. That was my first BC combo, I got the 7' MH. It is a great combo and I highly recommend it for any newbie. I still use it on a regular basis. You won't be dissapointed for that price.

Good thing it wasn't in deep water. Are you going to go buy a big automatic bilge pump now????
