TACKLE FANATICS!
I'd say your average... Why don't you point the finger at her and ask her why she has so many shoes*. Tell her your just trying to get as much fishing stuff as she does shoes. *I do not take any responsibility for anyone who ends up sleeping on the couch due to this quote

New Bait Suggestions - What Would You Like To See?
Some good ideas... i beleive #9 has been invented already. I remember getting a package of plastics from North American Fisherman that were just as you described. But there was only one port so you have to decide if you want scent or rattle.

Snickers Charged
I've been drinking the energy drinks for awhile, they now are mixing them with coffee. . Your body really does get imune to them if you drink them week after week with no stop. Mixed with some vodka... it's like liquid speed.... Talk about a MAJOR up, then a MAJOR downer.

The weekly gas price thread
Yea.... i'm in that giant dark red area you see on the west coast. Next door at the shell station, it $3.69 for regular, $3.95 for premium and $4.10 for deisel. All I can say is buying my civic two years ago was the best investment I could have made at the time. 1 1/2 - 2 weeks on a tank of gas.

Deal on Glasses - FREE!!!!(Almost)
Well here is my take on them... The lenses are plastic, which is fine by me cause i've never been a fan of glass lenses, the ones i've had have always been too heavy The vectors I got are no way the quality of Costa's, Oakley, etc, but they ARE better quality then the Wal-Mart glasses, beleive me, that's all I own. Are they really worth the MSRP???? No, but for $25 for a pair of glasses, an extra set of lenses, a case for both the glasses and extra lenses, i'm a pretty happy customer. If your budget minded give it a try,

Favorite Tri-Tip Recipes
Alright guys, so we had tri-tips on-sale where I work, so i got 4 of them. On the second one I tried making my own marinade. We had some company over and everyone said it was the best they had ever had. I added some teriyaki sauce that is made localy by a butcher shop. I added a little soy sauce, McCormics Steak Seasoning and some pineapple chunks, marinate for 2 days, and it is unbeleivable. I just made it for dinner and ate almost 2 pounds by myself. So what do you guys usually marinate your tri-tips or any other cuts of meat with??

I got the vectors, because I wanted the light brown lenses, and they also came with a second set of lenses. The rage were my 3rd choice.

What got you hooked?
Getting hook on fishing was my because of my dad. Ever since I can remember, he took me trout fishing, after work, on weekends, whenever. He got a boat and I loved it. Hobbies changed and we stopped fishing and went to dirtbike riding. A few years back, I met 4bizz and he took me out to a pond one day, and I was hooked on bass fishing after that. ....thanks alot bud, you should of just gave me weed or something, it would have been cheaper in the long run.. ;D

Finally, A new PB....
i was wondering if anyone would say anything. Yes i do. My bike actually broke at sand mountain back in oct 2006 and haven't been riding since. Just got the money to fix it and am taking it in this week. I started my new fishing hobby after my bike broke thinking it would be a cheaper hobby boy was I wrong. I have a XR 400.

Finally, A new PB....
Thanks guys I appreciate it. The only bad thing that happened all day was my cardiff broke after 4 or 5 casts. The handle mount broke at the base where it connects to the outside reel casing. Tokyo Tony - I talked to Brokejw and he told me he caught his 9 on a cheeto, so I got some of the puffs in regular and threw it on a mosquito hook under a bobber ;D Brokejw - Thanks bud, it's an awesome feeling, I already plan on spending 99% of my days off for the next many months fishing, so i would be stoked to get a DD Burley - I don't let jay get close enough to rub anything on me, especially when it's dark

Anybody use the Storz It rod sleeves or similar???
I used the BPS ones and wasn't a fan, so I went with the stik jackets and love them. I only use them when storing them at home and heading to the lake and back from the lake. So I just put them in the truck when not in use. They do the job for me

What food do you pack in the boat for a day on the water?
That's quite the meal. I usually bring an energy drink (More if we are night fishing), Lots of gatorade/powerade, and water. For food my favorites are powerbars, jerky, and a box of uncrustables. But when i'm broke i'll bring whatever we have in the pantry. One time I wanted a PB and J. We didn't have any bread, so I ended up using a hamburger bun, then I found out we didn't have any jelly, so I ended up with a peanut butter sandwich on a hamburger bun.

Well it's getting time for bed fishing, and there have been a few post about polarized glasses. Here is another site for you guys to consider. http://www.alternaeyewear.com/ All you do is when you go to check out, there will be a promotion code box (Or something similar) Just enter 687 in the box, basically all you pay for is the shipping and handling, which is based on the original price of the item. I got a $230 pair along with a case, and it cost me $25 shipped. It came in like 2-3 days. I wasn't sure about the glasses at first, but I figured i'm only out $25 if I dont' like them. I got them and they are super light and super comfortable. As far as the polarized lenses go, I haven't been able to test them in the water yet, but i'll let you guys know. This is just another option for you guys looking for polarized glasses. I think they have 10 or so choices for polarized. Also if you order 4 pairs of glasses, you get to choose a free watch.

IF YOU COULD HAVE ONLY ONE SPINNING ROD & REEL
I am in love with my Shimano Crucial 7'2" M. Daiwa Tierra 2000. It's a good combo around $200. I"m sure there are better combo's out there, but I have no complaints with this one.

Any feedback on the R2S Nest Raider?
A regional pro over in the west uses them for bed fishing. As I remember, the biggest he caught was a 4# male.

Will a blacklight spook fish
My take on this is that anything "unatural" distracts fish, and this is what I always go by. It may be right, it may be wrong, but to me, it makes sense. When I night fish, I only use my head lamp if I'm netting a fish, or if I need to see my tackle box. My head lamp has a red light, along with white lights. The red light takes less time for your eyes to re-adjust then the wight light which is nice. I've heard green keeps the bugs away.

Finally, A new PB....
Well guys, I've been waiting over a year to get a new PB that isn't from a private pond (The old one was 5-8), and after a long boring winter, I finally stuck her.. She went 9lb 1oz. I felt her strike and swung on her, she was there for 2 seconds and then swam straight for the boat, I picked up the slack line as fast as I could and when I caught up to her I swung her again and got her closer to the top and dragged her in. I'm still getting the chills when I think about it. What a day!!!!!

FINISHED pics of my boat!!
Very clean.... good job

Choosing a color
+1. But it's just a guidline, sometimes i'll throw a craw crank with waters that don't have craws. Don't overthink it too much.

Polarized Lens Color
I figured I could do without that considering i'm 6'6-6'7. Thanks for the info guys, I appreciate it.

favorite swim baits
Some good beginner baits (One's that you don't need to go and buy a bigbait setup for) are the Mighty minnow and Mission Fish from 3:16. Both are soft plastic and weedless. Also are reasonably priced.
