  1. ;D ;D
  2. When you order more hudds, order from Don @ swimbaitcity. He's down there by you and will get it to you the next day. It's pretty sweet. That's a good setup by the way, I'm selling the same setup. You'll enjoy it, it handles the hudds pretty good and is good for the price.
  3. I couldn't agree more. I own both, and for the money, the curado is the way to go, especially at 119 after rebate, it's a no brainer!!!
  4. I did a bracket at work and am in the lead now. I took hookemdown's advice in the other NCAA thread and put them all the way. If they win the championship, I win some money!!!
  5. That must have been a decent fight on that spinning rod with your big fish. Nice job
  6. HEAVY!!!!! You get what you pay for. I bought one for my dad, and it's a good 2 piece rod, but after a full day throwing it, my arms get tired. For 15 bucks, you can't go wrong.
  7. I have the BPS Backpack. I wouldn't have it any other way for bank fishing. I usually don't fill all of it with gear, i'll use the extra space for food, etc. I'm a happy camper
  8. Now your hooked. Nice fish man. Ever since I stuck my 9 1 month ago, I can't quit thinking about it. Hopefully you'll get your DD soon!!!
  9. Nice fish matt, glad you poked your head in and showed us what your up to.
  10. I'm not a hawg hunter, but I too like you questions so i'll answer them. 1. I still love catching tons of bass, but since I caught my 9, catching 2#'ers just doesn't have the same rush as it did before. I don't have the patience yet to just focus on the big fish though, the other day, i got tired of looking for the big fish with no luck, so I brought out the dropshot and brought in 20 2#'ers. 2. For me, anything over the 6# mark now gets me excited. It's funny because 1 month ago, anything over 3 got me stoked. Kinda wierd how things turn when you break your old pb 5 times in one day. 3. Looking back, I've gained lots of patience in the last year, but still not enough. I'm working on it though. 5. It has evolved for me. I was talking to 4bizz about this, and it is funny because when he got me into bass fishing, i was using a $15 trout combo with a 5" senko t-rigged, now i'm throwing $90 baits with a Calcutta. Kinda funny how we evolve.
  11. +1 - I've become a reel swimbait wh@&e lately.
  12. A day full of action, you can't beat that. Nice job. I just had a trip where I caught around 20 super angry 2# males. It was pretty fun on a light line dropshot setup.
  13. 3:16 Wakebait JR
  14. Donkey Rig: Start with two barrel swivels. Tie a 15 inch leader and EWG Style hook to the leader. Then tie a 12 inch leader and EWG style hook to the second swivel. Pass the main line through the eye of the swivel with the 15 inch leader with hook. The 15 inch leader and hook must slide up and down the main line. Tie the main line directly to the swivel with the 12 inch leader and hook. Utilize texas rigging to rig your favorite color Lake Fork Tackle Magic Shad or Zig Zag on both hooks and let them dance!
  15. I don't classify swimbaits on size, I do it by the bait itself, hudd's (Both sizes), Most of mattlures baits, all of 3:16 hardbaits, you get the picture. I don't think a bait has to be 10-12 inches to be considered a swimbait, the hudd at 8 is a hog catching machine and could be considered the swimbait of all swimbaits. Just my .02
  16. Not bad for a first time on the lake. Now you are hooked!!!!
  17. Let's take a vote, all in favor say "I". : I!!!!! Seriously now, 4 pages of nothing but nonsense :-?..... Aren't we supposed to be fishing or something???? :
  18. I wonder if they have the suicide phones installed. Next to where I live we have the "Foresthill Bridge", the tallest bridge in cali. And they have like 4-5 phones on the bridge that take you to a suicide hotline. I wonder what the price tag is for that bridge.
  19. I like to change out the trebles on certain baits that don't come with gammies or owners. As far as jigs, +1 with shadcranker. Certain swimbaits, I like to add red gills.
  20. Watermelon Candy Watermelon with Chart. Tail
  21. I can't seem to handle paying over $350 for a setup... right now. My most expensive is a Curado 100D paired with a Powell 703CB.
  22. Just reading what it says I'll have to check the dry cleaners. Thanks
  23. I use up to 17lb on certain occation's. But mainly 10-14 on my LP baitcasters, and 20-25 on my SB reels. For braid I usually stay with 50
  24. You'll be fine. What are you planning on throwing? 6" hudds, mattlures, 3:16 soft baits, etc., should be great for this rod. You get the picture, just don't go throwing any 10" stocker trouts or anything and you'll be set.
  25. 9-1 25in Early March/Right when it got dark Caught on a bank, next to a long point with deep water Hudd
