Anyone still use trilene XL?
I use XL on most of my rigs.

Revo
I have two Revo SCs, both on All Star American Classic 6'8" MH/F spinnerbait rods. They get the hardest use of any of my Revos. In addition to the usual LB, pickerel and bowfin, I've hauled in a few brackish water stripers with them, too. They perform as well as any of the other Revos. They are essentially Revo Ss with a magnetic brake.

Flippin' Sticks
AFAIK, the Kistler is made in China. Don't worry about it's country of manufacture. Get what you like.

Does the SX in your avatar have a silver frame, or is that optical illusion?

Warning for guys who tow with Ford Rangers...
If you could see the F-150 I'm now driving you would definatley say I'm a redneck. Only because your license plate is IMA RDNK.

help.
Grab it and pull it off. Watch he doesn't crap on you. We have cormarants around here and they always discharge about a gallon and a half of "white paint" when you get near them.

Ganger Mtn. sucks IMHO.
Were you having a bad day, there, Bassn?

Warning: You Might Get Your Arm Broke!
He said slow. So did I. I fished it the way you said. Perhaps I got a bum bag of creatures. But I got next to no action out of those arms. It was like dragging a wad of dark green toilet tissue though the water. The arms just trailed and did next to nothing. Only when I sped up the retrieve did they do anything, and then not by much. I turned one around with the frilly end trailing and that was even worse - no action at all. The arms just seemed pinned to the sides and the ends seemed to be inhibited further by the paddles just below them. The Hula did better. But even that didn't produce the action I had expected.

Warranty on BPS Johnny Morris rods?
If it's a current model, just take it back. It's a BPS brand, so no doubt you bought it at BPS. I bet they'll exchange it, no questions asked.

Top Rod Guides?
IMO, Fuji Alconite provides the best bang for the buck. SiC is overkill, unless you just want to pay more. Although I really like the looks of some American Tackle zirconia guides.

MUST READ
That included typing with itchy, watery eyes. You're right. I voted plastic worms. Because it has so many uses besides just fishing.

Revo
I like the STX better, but have to admit the performance difference is minimal.

Yo Zuri Ultrasoft....you've let me down
I did that today with regular Hybrid 12#. Snagged a slider head on pier piling cross-member, pulled on the line and pulled up a slider head with a hook bent to 90 degrees. I've never broken Hybrid.

A Frog in the Toilet
Do you have a vent in your bathroom that leads to the outside of your house? If so, is there a screen over the opening? If not, put one up. I had a friggin' bat get into my house through mine. It came in and gave birth behind a handmade quilt my mother-in-law made.

Warning: You Might Get Your Arm Broke!
I tried this today. First I tried it weightless. I texposed rigged it with the frilly end forward so the arms and paddles trailed. No luck. Almost no action to speak of. The curly arms just lamely dragged along and didn't wave at all. If I reeled it fast enbough to get some arm action, it came to the surface. No surface hits. Then I tried it with a pegged 1/8oz bullet weight. That kept the bait under, but still next to no arm action. It looks to me that the body inhibits the arm action since they trail along side the body. The faster I reel, the harder they press against the side. Not impressed with the kreature for this technique. Any advice on this, RW? Next I tried a GYCB DT H Grub (root beer/green). Rigged frilly end forward with the 1/8 oz pegged bullet weight. MUCH better. The arms on this bait trail off the end and have action at any speed. I got one hit and one bass by a dock with this technique. Good tip, RW. I just didn't have any luck with the Kreature, but the DT H Grub worked reasonably well. I'm looking forward to trying it again in the pads here shortly.

Wassup with ...... Slider Heads?
They were winners again today. The 1/16th oz head with a smoke-purple finesse worms fipped around the pier. I started out using the 1/8 oz but I got no hits. The much slower sink of the 1/16 oz apparently hit the "attack button."

Wassup with ...... Slider Heads?
I use the 1/16 and 1/8 OZ slider heads (bullet head), too, with 4" Zoom Finesse Worms. They make the worms sink slowly in a slightly-off-vertical manner. I used them last week flipping them (on a 7' M/F baitcaster) around a pier and they were very productive. These are fantasic for finesse fishing.

Warning for guys who tow with Ford Rangers...
I'm an insurance adjuster and we are always receiving updates on recalls and defects. The only frame problems I've been hearing about are the soft frames on Toyota full size (they seem to deform too easily on minor impacts). But I haven't heard anything about Ford, or Chevys for that matter. Ford did have an ignition problem for awhile that caused fires (some insurance companies recouped what they paid on those claims from Ford since they failed to acknowledge the problem or issue a timely recall). But I have even heard rumors of a Ford frame defect. (Doesn't mean there isn't one.)

my new boat
That'll fit between close cypress trees. Great boat when you want to get into cover.

New Steez
That reel is so good looking that if all there was in the world was Shimano reels and that Steez, I'd buy that Steez.

Check out this bad boy - limited edition Daiwa Millionaire
That's a cool Morrum. It's been around for awhile. Tackle Tour did a review of it some time ago. Cost is a wee bit high for me. But if I had it, I'd lick it. It's that good looking.

"the bead in this bag"? re: stanley ribbit frogs
I never use a bead. But I image it might make a noise, as well as making the rig a little more weedless. Sometimes my toads pick up gunk around the hook eye as I'm working them through slop.

How's this for FUGLY?
I kinda like it. ;D
