  1. Good bait for spring, T-rigged or wacky, on beds :-X
  2. I know that game.
  3. It's a good line, nothing special about it, just pricey. For the price I don't think you can beat Trilene 100% Hmmmmm forgot to mention Vicious fluorocarbon. That beats the 100% garbage in price and quality. I can 550 yards of Vicious for less than 250 yards of berkely 100%. Plus Vicious is better. Line is not just line ;D Fish with Cajun line in a tournament if you disagree with me. ;D ;D :
  4. Haha Sam, no I do not drop shot. I would much rather fish a 10 inch worm or swimbait Matt, you need to step up to some seaguar or gamma flouro none of that cheap Berkeley stuff 8-) A funny side note to this thread is I got Matt into using flouro, since I have been throwing it for several years but as soon as he switched I went to only using braid ;D
  5. I own only tungsten but I think due to tungsten's small size you get less hang ups. This might also might be because I only use braid so I just straighten out a hook to get my weight back Superline hook<Tungsten But I bought a 4 pack of tungsten 1/4 oz weights back in december and still have two left.
  6. I know a lot of low to mid range flipping sticks weigh more than, lets say a kistler or carrot stick flipping stick.
  7. Does that actually make it more weedless? I would think the opposite due to more keel in the hook is exposed. If it is more weedless I'll give-up using EWG hooks. Take a 10+ ribbontail worm on a big hook weightless. Put the worm on like a jig trailer giving it a big head then pull up the head of the worm over the knot, very weedless
  8. Don't you go to the dentist Burley? geez :
  9. Too bad that I made a joke about a song, butttttt you are to young or naive to get it so you just rolled your eyes, really good response by the way 8-)
  10. The one where you reel it in and they slam it, you drop the rod, reel in then set the hook hard. I like that one I don't know why : ;D
  11. notice you do not say anything about the OCD comment you made or that big frogs are really interesting topic , I got 2 out of 3, and that ain't bad : 8-)
  12. No just no winter in Florida ;D ;D
  13. 100% get the cumara I have a Kistler helium 2 great rod but Shimano's rod warranty is way too good. I am always afraid of breaking my kistler, I use my Shimano's to hammer nails and don't worry about it Kistler makes great sticks but warranty hands down is Shimano. Call up Shimano they will have no problem giving you another rod for nothing. Don't take it to the tackle shop
  14. You need to step back and look at yourself Chaddy, you have been here only 50 days more than me and you have 3 times as many posts than I do so lets not talk about padding post counts : : Also this is one of the best threads I have seen Snapper G make. More MONSTER frogs are being made and sold. Frogs bigger than 5 inches with LARGE profiles. The even Spro is designing a really big hollow body frog So I think a post about how these frogs produce, tips/tactics is in order along with hook ideas etc.,etc. Quite frankly I opened this thread to read about the new wave of big frogs not a bunch of guys bashing a member for being energetic and hungry for information That OCD comment was disgusting :-/, and it takes alot to disgust me I made it 20 minutes into the movie Fool's Gold ;D Snapper I think you should purchase these frogs and test them out for us, then post here with your results. You are from Florida the frogin' state ;D
  15. Oh so you were the guy fly-fishing the drain at gravelly point LOL ;D ;D ;D
  16. Theres always bass at the community hole, across the lake where there is a clear area with cut grass and one lone stick up(do not know if it is still there) it is where the geese congregate, if you fish it all the locals work the point with cranks, I favor a finesse worm, dead stick it till it hurts then twitch it in the stuff you can't crank If you fish the community hole say hello to my buddy, he's(at least I think he's a he) a big white goose with a funny looking beak. He is hilarious, he was quacking at me when I tripped and fell, like he was laughing ;D He likes bread or crusts from poptarts If you wanna try something fun, take an ultralight and some night crawlers and put a split shot 12-18 inches above a size 1 or 2 hook, nose hook the crawler and stitch/slowly drag it back to you This works very well at the dam, my dad has lost some nice bass and landed some decent ones with it As usual in the fall the uplake bite will be good if you can get up there.......
  17. Pigsticker replied to preach4bass's topic in Everything Else
Reminds me of a song, Dirty Laundry ;D : :
  18. Hmmmmmmmm I am do not use nets I mainly throw plastics on EWG hooks with braid and I rarely lose fish after I get hook in them But I am starting to realize they are a good tool to have Butch Brown, an insane trophy hunter landed a 19.3 pound bass on video and the BIGGEST reason he got that fish was because of his SKILL with a net IMO there is more skill in netting a bass than fliping them up, next time try to net your own bass :
  19. I hope everything goes well with both of your appointments
  20. Naw more important is to learn how to measure girth, I hope you are not catching 22 inch bass that are 26 inches around That is scary to think about ;D
  21. Haven't you seen BaitShop? All you will sell is beer and you'll have to win a big tournament to keep your shop ;D
  22. I caught a decent 3 lber on it last labor day. What a great eastcoast bait! I had a bass hammer it in open water but only stay on for a second or two, then 3 casts later nailed the 3lber out of the same spot, had to be the same fish, but I cannot prove that ;D ;D The reflective eyes is a cool touch too.
  23. I thinkhe was using pike as just a term for a a fish other than bass that have teeth, I have fished in areas where they call them a toothy critter, If he had said that would you guys be telling him he is wrong? I know guys that call pickeral pike but know completely that they are pickeral. This may or may not be this guys case but still close enough Great fishing, that is a really nice looking lake
