High school rings??? At least a few guys were smart enough not to buy them. The only rings that should ever be bought are college rings from a military school, west point, citadel, VMI etc. etc. I know close to 100% of juniors from VMI get their class rings, they have a big dance to celebrate it, real big deal for military schools.

Try Clarus rods by Shimano, they are on sale at tackle warehouse 40-50 bucks is great and they are a BIG step up from whuppin sticks they are bait casters though Also try cablelas line of rods cheap but still a decent stick and they have glass rods for 30 bucks

7ft heavy? I was talking more along the lines of an extra heavy rod Walk backwards hahahaha I have been known to hook a fish not reel in and run away from the water dragging the fish to a safe distance away from the water to unhook and release um caught fish up to 6lbs this way ;D

Nice Fish,sorry to hear about your pond but 1 missed lick and I am chucking a cane toad ;D and what pound test is your line that looks really light for frog fishing :o but it could just be my eyes and the line is actually 80 lb test

you should invest in a trolling motor or two it will make renting boats much cheaper and if you get two TM then you can go farther, bring a few batteries

6/0-7/0 Gamakatsu EWG Monster hooks, a great heavy wire hook for big senkos and 10inch worms. OR 11/0 Oversize wormhook for 10+ inch worms. Owner makes a nice hook and the 11/0 is no exception. I have used 5/0 EWG Superline hooks by Gamakatsu for trick worms and have had no problems catching bass

4/0 ewg is fine 5/0 ewg is better...... also I used to bend hooks alot on standard wire hooks sometimes just getting the hook out of a bass so I started using superline hooks by gamakatsu

I fished ponds all weekend in eastern VA and had the same problems bites all around my ankles My dad in an attempt to out smart me wore really long socks and got bites all along the upper legs ;D

Use braid IF you Do not want to worry about your drag Do not want to worry about your nicked line Do not want to worry about your knot Do not want to worry about line twist etc. etc. I do not tie any leaders to braid and braid is all I use 65-80lb test If I feel like the fish can see it sometimes I will take a black marker and color a few feet of the line.
