  3. Thanks Bizz, Oh those fat, lazy, bloated Largemouth bass :
  4. I think i saw a picture of Fourbizz with a bent heavy wire treble hook around a 4/0 from a LM Hey Fourbizz was that LM a good fight?
  5. Being stupid isn't always a crime being negligent usually is........
  6. sounds like a perfect situation for a big accident, take pictures ;D
  7. stop padding your posts, mods delete this thread please ;D
  8. I understand Catt, In Toledo Bend do you find that fish relate to docks a lot or do they leave them alone for the most part? and Do those rock croppings/islands get pounded? With this "new" info I think I would want to fish that point in the back next to the half circle cove-ish place and the point to the south of it across the mouth. then maybe do some flipping in that first point's big cove. that island in the middle of the cove is interesting too. 10 inch junebug ribbontail worm and a 5-6 inch craw worm both t-rigged with either 1/4 or 3/8 oz weights Hope that works better.
  9. Oh it is no where near a give away I have fished gills at ponds for a good amount of time with even a nibble. Sounds like an exciting day! Try using braid if you arent already using it
  10. They work for me, best to upgrade that modem connection its the 21st century Man my hair is out of control, I am buzzing it off this week That picture of the 4lber is great, looks bigger than four the photographer must be a pro or something ;D 8-) Fun day Matt, great report
  11. gallows humor, I love it better than someone saying ooh so you were measuring your rods huh? :
  12. I agree that LM are the best fighters, Great post Matt But also LM definitely have home field advantage, they are usually in the toughest cover or with thick stuff nearby, Smallmouths are usually in light to no cover, amount of time of fight does not always translates to best fighting Just because LM are shorter fighters doesnt mean they are not good fighters.
  13. Is that a quantum tour edition pt on that carrot stick, what a nice set up, so mad they ran out of them > good fishing guys
  14. The legend model has 8ft H flipping stick thats telescopic
  15. tough setting the hook with a spinning rod when your skipping a sweet beaver rig or a jig : You will be surprised how easy it is to skip with braid
  16. "Dude check out all the new songs I got on my zune" If everything lived up to the hype-college humor LOL ;D
  17. Trevor when I just started out fishing for bass all I threw were wacky rigged 4-5 senkos on a 6'6'' medium fast spinning rod with 8 pound fluoro carbon(picked that line by accident ) with a 1/0 straight shank hook. I did not catch alot of bass but I would usually catch a small keeper everytime I went out. Not the best method but it will get you bit.
  18. I do not fish tournaments and rarely fish tournament waters. Did not want to comment on something I know little about
  19. You Benson Hurst piece of trash ;D ;D (I know Benson is in SW Brooklyn but I had to think of a real bad part )
  20. It really all depends on fishing pressure and management. I have been to private ponds that have not been touched in years and caught mainly 1-2 pounders with one fish over 6lbs and a 2.5-3lber mixed in The average size of the bass at that private pond was very low. I have also fish a little known public pond that produces very good numbers of quality fish with bass up to 10.5 lbs. That pond gets somewhat selectivly harvested by crappie fisherman in the past and a little now but no ne really fishes big baits mainly inline spinners and small grubs which makes it a fantasic bass fishery
  21. It is spelled "Fugheddaboudit" I hope you know that and are just making it shorter. It would be bad mistake if that was not the case. 8-)
  22. Oh forgot to say what I would throw Six inch senko watermelon black flake t-rigged with a 3/16 oz weight T-rigged fluke 1/8 oz weight Small White/silver swimbait/swim senko 1/4 oz weight
  23. I do not know if I can play but I have been following this thread from the start, it is so interesting to watch you guys dissect this lake. I have looked at a map and I would fish the most exposed(to wind) points or the downwind points first. That is just my instinct I have always liked fishing the wind blown sections of a lake in fall it seems more productive. I also like the southern side of these coves where there is alot of boat docks and rock croppings(near those two islands), I would spend some time there fishing all those creek mouths then work the offshore croppings/islands. I hope this is an acceptable approach.
