the baconator is flat out BOMB. that is my go-to sandwich at wendy's, it does not disappoint.

i just hope the bass pro doesn't follow the "if it's yellow let it mellow" rule...

VIVA LA GUNTERSVILLE! the worst part of it is that i've got hundreds of dollars of new gear sitting in my room that i probably won't even be able to use until the trip. i organize and re-organize all my lures and terminal tackle at least twice a week. i oiled, greased and cleaned my reels the other day, consolidated all my plastics into bigger bags by brand, size and color, put all my reels on my rods just to see how they feel... i'm seriously going crazy up here! two weeks ago when it was warmer out and all the snow was gone i was out in the driveway every day after work practicing casting with my baitcast setups, but now it's been raining/sleeting/snowing/freezing rain/etc. for the last 10 days or so and i can't even do that. at least i've got the last few issues of BASS magazine that i've already re-read ten times to hold me over. :-/

little late for that, don't ya think? ;D we actually fish together a lot. her boyfriend and i go out in his canoe a lot during the summer and most of the time she'll tag along, usually catching more and bigger fish than i do.

oh alright, haha. my mistake, i thought this was goin down right now. yeah if i'm on next tuesday definitely hit me up.

thanks for the comments guys. i'll never live down that my sister "outfished" me that day. it was nice to see the smile she had when she landed that one though, so i'll take the ribbin from my dad and fishing buddies for now.

i'd be willing to put money down on there being DD bass in the quabbin.

i've always just used shiners when ice fishing for bass. RW, you're kinda right about ice fishing. as much as i enjoy catching fish, standing around on the ice freezing my arse off waiting for a little orange flag to go up just doesn't appeal to me nearly as much as standing in a boat or on a bank casting around.

i don't see anything.

i can't offer any advice on the HMX, but i've got an Eagle GT and an HMG and i think they're both great rods.

holy crap am i anxious for march 23rd. just got my karu lures order AND my new bps rick clunn baitcaster in yesterday, so now i've got a couple more treats to hold me over for a few days, but man... this wait is killin me!

i've got a mixed dragonforce cd that's been in my car cd player for literally the last 3 months. those guys are definitely at the top of my shred list. Fury of the Storm has one of the sickest metal solo's i've ever heard. i've also heard that they're not as tight live, but i don't think i'd be able to play 1/10th as fast as they do and still rock out.

i'm glad the sox kept ellsbury and buccholz. ellsbury was integral to the bosox defense and is fast around the bases. i'm also anxious to see how buccholz will do now that schilling's out for what looks like most of the season. from what i've heard buccholz will most likely be the last pitcher in the starting rotation. i just hope he can hang with the big boys this year. aside from his no-no he didn't really do much last year, but he's got awesome potential. i won't even get into our bullpen; okajima, timlin, PAPELBON! look out AL east, if the sox play anything like last year they're gonna be a force to be reckoned with. i'm heading up to toronto for the april 4th red sox vs. blue jays game at the rogers centre. i bought my brother two tickets for christmas so i get to spend some time with him, take a mini vaca (literally the weekend after i get back from the g'ville trip) and watch the sox start the season off right... i CAN NOT WAIT! HERE WE GO RED SOX, HERE WE GO!

i wish i had gotten a picture of the first place perch. it probably wasn't much longer than my sister's, but it looked like it had swallowed a baseball whole. it's belly was the size of my fist. there were some nice bass, too. first place was close to 7lbs down to 10th which was about 5.5lbs, and first place pike was over 18lbs.
