  1. i was wondering if anyone here has used the loomis bronzeback rods. a friend of mine just picked up a quantum pt-i energy spinning reel and he's looking to get a new rod for it. the bronzeback is one of the ones he was considering. he'll mostly be throwing senko's on it, pretty much because that's all he throws. any input on this rod or any rod in the $200 price range that would be better suited is appreciated.
  2. Mike, I've been wearing the black X since '94. that's a long time, good for you man. i was part of that after high school, from about 2000-2006, but circumstances changed, my life went in a different direction and i don't claim edge anymore. it was a part of my life i'm extremely greatful for though, as it allowed me to experience a substance free lifestyle for a good 6 years. i've even got the tat to prove it, "XXX" on the inside of my bottom lip.
  3. been huuuuuge into dragonforce lately. they shred with the best of them. straight up metal with some epic solo's. their song "through the fire and flames" is featured on guitar hero 3 as a "secret song" deal. probably the hardest GH song ever. http://www.dragonforce.com/main.html http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=7326510 listen to "the fury of the storm", about 3:30 in is one of the gnarliest solo's i've ever heard. it's like 4 minutes of straight shred. other than that it's been: the red chord between the buried and me premonitions of war gym class heroes lynyrd skynyrd a life once lost cave in europe (final countdown baby!) dr. dre 311 and way too much more to list right now. mostly metal with some old school rap, some funk, some hippy jam band stuff... little bit of everything mixed in on my ipod.
  4. i can't get over the generosity displayed by the members of this site. LBH coming through with the bazuka tube for my rods, RW hooking me up with a room for the week, and now fluke offering to go out of his way to pick my skinny @ss up at the airport. this place really is like a family. dysfunctional.... maybe, but still a family!
  5. hell we can do the whole circuit; maury, springer, the view, all the quality shows!
  6. that'd be a lot better for me, but i'd hate to inconvenience anyone by them having to go out of their way. i don't mind renting a car, unless someone wants to volunteer their services. i'd even pay for gas, tolls and whatever else for the ride. btw RW, check's in the mail for the room. thanks again!
  7. you guys are brutal! first i'm LBH's mini-me, now i'm compared to a class of ugly *** clinton spawn. sheesh! ;D
  8. another step closer! i just got off the phone with the airline, i'll be arriving in atlanta, ga on march 23rd at 9am and then driving out to g'ville which will be about a 3 hour drive. i should be at the lake around noon on sunday. my return flight leaves on the 28th at 6pm which means i'll be leaving alabama around 12 or 1 to get to the airport on time. what time is everyone else planning on leaving on the last day? the best part is that i had a $280 credit with the airline and my round trip tickets only cost $240. which is actually kinda sucky because that's $40 i'll never see again, but oh well. i'm just stoked because i've got my room and my plane tickets both all set. all that's left is setting up a rental car for the week and i'll be good to go. VIVA LA GUNTERSVILLE!
  9. i'm hoping for a high scoring game so i'm goin with pats 35 giants 24

  15. i've got a biased opinion being a pats fan, and along with that i haven't heard the full story behind the whole "cheating" thing, but if i were to venture a guess i'd have to say bellichek probably didn't have anything to do with videotaping the other teams. the guy's a hard ***, straight to the point, doesn't pussyfoot around... i just can't see him being a part of all that.
  16. russ, i've got a friend up here in rutland mass that owns his own decal company. he does pretty good work. he makes banners, vinyl decals, and does screen printing for shirts as well. http://www.dsfxgraphics.net/ his contact info and pictures of his work are on that site. if you talk to him, let him know mike waterman sent you to him.

  18. i don't know man.... might wanna spark up a spliff, haha. ;D I was thinking of a little younger cheech, but I see it! haha, i just thought that pic of cheech was pretty close to the one of robert in regards to the spaced out "heeeeey man, check thaaat out.... " look. ;D
  19. probably the coolest places i've been are paris and england. i enjoyed the attractions that paris had to offer, like the eiffel tower, the arc de triomphe (sp?), the louvre museum, mon sacre couer (sacred heart church), the notre dame cathedral, etc., however i thought the city was a dump and can honestly say you couldn't pay me to go back. the people were garbage over there, especially when they find out you're an american. england was amazing all around. we got to see stonehenge, windsor castle, buckingham palace and countless other memorable places. i was fortunate enough to be travelling with my girlfriend at the time, and she's actually a native of england and has family scattered all over the country, which allowed us to spend a lot of time in various locations. we spent one day with some of her family cruising down canal's in a canal boat which was a great experience. being able to divide time between her family allowed us to do a lot of stuff most "tourists" wouldn't be able to do.
  20. i don't know man.... might wanna spark up a spliff, haha. ;D
  21. i picked up a bunch of 5 packs of matzuo EWG hooks at $1.50 each, but that's all my local wally world had that caught my eye.
  22. sweet pics mang. ps. nice rack(s)!
  23. you don't need it, but if you're fishing clear water you might want one. because it's a leader you can pretty much use whatever test you want.

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/ that's the site for the program... http://www.wired.com/entertainment/music/commentary/listeningpost/2006/02/70150 and that's a site that explains how to use the program. you'll have to download an extension for audacity called "LAME" or something like that so that you can export the ring tone mp3 files to your phone. you'll also need a way to get the mp3's onto your phone, like if you have a memory card for your phone you can download the ring tones from your computer to the card and then put them onto your phone. hope that all helps. "i mean, i may not know what the civil war was, or who invented the helicopter even though i OWN ONE, but i did beat 'the legend of zelda' before i could walk..." friggin love that movie!

it's called "audacity" i think. i found it from some cell phone forum that answers tech questions. i'm not sure the exact link to it, but i'll search it down and find it for you. and slomoe, is that a "grandma's boy" quote in your signature line?
