  1. Cuz .... God Knows Steroids help you with touch for the short Game Maybe Driving ..... but you only drive the ball 8-10 times at most / round Golfing is a game where you can either play or you can't QUOTE: "You can't teach touch !" just my $0.02
  2. I just started last year as well....This what I started with and what I have learned on here, If you find you are "Hooked" Pun intended....Branch out with various rigs and various Lures for different Situations Rod n Reel Look at a Pflueger President / BPS Extreme Rod/Reel Combo at Bass Pro around $99.00. I picked one up last year and It is a great Rod n Reel Combo for the price. If you will be fishing Largemouth look at a MH or at Least a Medium Rod. Spool with 30 lb Braid or 10 - 12 lb Mon / Fluorocarbon (Most places will spool your reel for you) Lures 4/0 Hooks with Plastic Worms Texas Rigged (Berkley PowerBait or Gulp and Senkos have worked best for me) Black JitterBug for TopWater Yellow or White Weedless Hollow Bodied Frog for Heavy Cover A couple of Crank Baits (Different Depths) colored like a Perch or BlueGill A Zara Spook for TopWater also Some 1/8 oz Jigs with 3" Grubs Accessories Needle nose Pliers Nail Clippers for cutting line A couple of Plano Boxes Extra Line Screwdriver that will fit your reel I used a Back Pack to hold my gear and still do when I fish from Shore I hope that helps....My learning curve has been greatly reduced by the excellent advice on this site This should allow you to hit or be pretty close to the $150 budget. I am on the other side of Lake Ontario From you. If you are ever up in Ontario Let me Know Best of Luck
  3. Try the Deps Basirisky frog. Video: http://www.depsweb.co.jp/product/basirisky/basirisky.wax I have a Deps.... Have gotten more hits on this than a SPRO ...but have better Hook up Ratio with the Spro I have 3 SPROS Black, Yellow and White....all have produced
  4. Voted FYI...have to vote using IE. Site script doesn't work with FireFox
  5. I caught my first couple of Smallies (probably around 3 - 4.5 lbs) didn't weigh they were OOS) this year and they definitely do fight longer/harder. But I find the LargeMouth in my area more challenging because they head for cover and I will tend to power them in more than I would a SmallMouth in open water.
  6. I have been fishing for Walleye all Spring....Here in Ontario. These have been working so I really haven't been trying other lures. 3" Grubs(WHITE or CHARTREUSE) 1/8 oz jig head(WHITE) only other lure we have caught Walleye on was a perch patterned X-Rap I have found a steady retrieve along the edge of a weed bed has been key. Actually bouncing the grub off the bottom has not been successful, I have no idea why, maybe because we have had a pretty cool spring
  7. Got it started....changed plugs, replaced primer bulb...and cleaned carb Started and ran great all weekend..... Thanks for all the help
  8. From the standpoint of getting it running I am capable...but it is the tank, and primer bulb that I am confused...I didn't wan to start tearing apart everything to get down to the fuel line to check if it could have just been a primer bulb issue. There is an inline fuel filter I am going to have a look at it tomorrow and hopefully figure it out....I may just take it to a shop and tell them to get it running....Just lacking the time I will post the results and outcome
  9. The Tank is a Plastic Tank... I will go through the diagnoses you described an give you an update.... I am very familiar with small engines...have rebuilt a couple and am always fixing a Lawn Tractor, Chain Saw etc... but Marine engines are an unkown to me....
  10. With the price of some pretty nice boats available.... You will still only have a 10' Jon Boat after spending time and money on it. Just my $ 0.02
  11. No the tank didn't sit at all.... The Suzuki is Oil injected and the Tank is clean. No there is no in-line filter Thanks
  12. I am sorry if this is a completely ignorant question on my part. I finally picked up a fishing boat and motor. (I am new to boats and boat motors) It was running great....It is a Suzuki 8hp When I prime, the bulb gets hard but very little fuel seems to be getting to the plugs, they are a little wet but can't get it to kick over Until I filled the Tank right full it never did this. Is this a Tank/Prime Bulb issue or is it the fuel line...or worse a clog in the line somewhere. I took out the plug and sparayed some quickstart and it fired immediately. Any and all suggestions are appreciated Thanks in advance
  13. Adjust the brightness
  14. Great Game.... Always make me laugh my (_*_) off.... Has accounted for my lack of sleep the last 2 weeks.
  15. Daughters Fish...Caught Out Of Season while Walleye Fishing Only kept it out of the water long enough to snap some memories. (Really wanted to Measure and Weigh) But against regulations... :-/ For Ontario This is a great sized Fish She brought it all the way in herself, I removed the hook and helped her hold it for the pic......
  16. Being from "Up North" That fish is HUGE for our Waters...... Great Job
  17. Thanks All It was an OOS Fish so I kept it in the water to get the hook out and until my wife got the camera. Brought it up for a couple of pics then was released. In Ontario, Canada...we are not to be in possession of an Out Of Season Fish so we didn't get a chance to measure or weigh. But for up north here It was a Big Fish. and yes....It is great to be out fished by her....Just hope the BaitMonkey doesn't start with her.
  18. I was using mine today...casting a 3/8 oz Jig into a stiff head wind..... It didn't backlash once...attributed to the reel not my ability If I could find another LH around here I would pick it up in a minute
  19. We went out fishing for Walleye tonight at a lake close by, just from the dock....My wife and I got skunked but have a look at what the kid pulled in !!!! It was her first Largemouth and she was quite excited....She thought she was snagged She was using an Ugly Stick with a Zebco 33 SpinCast and she brought it in herself.
  20. Women marry men hoping they will change Men marry women hoping they don't Just let her know that is the way that it is...My wife comes fishing with me I was 2 months away from getting married in my early 20's when my GF of 6 years started complaining about all the sports I play, all the time I spend Hunting and/or fishing. My Dad and this is the only time he has ever said anything to me about relationships...said...."GET OUT OF THIS NOW...IT IS ONLY GONNA GET WORSE" Now every morning when I wake up next to my wife or we are out on the lake fishing, I cannot help but thank my dad for his honesty with me. FYI...my ex GF has been married twice and is now separated from the 2nd. Her exes, (I know them well) have all told me, My decision was the best decision I could ever have made

  22. Hey All.... Walleye/Pickerel opens this weekend here in Ontario, so my wife and I will be heading out....As some of you that helped me last year with LM Bass know, I am a complete newcomer to fishing. I have picked up a few walleye rigs as well as some jigs etc.... We have a 14' Aluminum with a Trolling motor and a 8HP. Any tips as to lures, or rigs should I take a few different set ups out? I know we will probably get skunked until we learn but I just want to increase our chances and I really have no clue. Here is some info I have found as a start so I am not totally at a loss This is the lake where we will be fishing (CHANGE TO RICE LAKE ONTARIO) http://maps.google.ca/maps?hl=en&q=rice+lake&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wl and here is a little write up on the lake http://www.thefishinguide.com/rice.shtml#tips Thanks in advance
  23. Great Links Again....I will have to try in the evening too.... I did get the 8 wt so I could throw a larger fly once in a while. I am so looking forward to trying iy out....Just have to wait until 4th Sat in June...ARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH Steve
