  1. Good on them for making it right. It seems the extreme vast majority of "fishing" companies really back their products. I think it is because they are dealing with really great guys...like me!!!
  2. thanks again. I do many of the same things you do.
  3. What do you guys use to clean the outside plastic/aluminum bodies and sideplates of your reels? anybody try wax like meguiars? How about your rods? cork? EVA handles? Thanks for your input.
  4. Exactly. I have used Mike for several reels...always outstanding service.
  5. Raider...you sir are one smooth talker...bet you have ALOT of ...ahem...alone time
  6. are you ...Ironman???
  7. Wait a minute!!!! you are deadlifting 500 lbs for reps...AND your wife is 14 years younger than you??? HERO!!!!!!
  8. How are you guys rigging your buzzbaits if you use a plastic trailer with a stinger hook? I use mostly zoom horny toads but have had some misses and would like to add a stinger hook but am not sure how to rig it so it would be effective but not catch in the legs of the toad??? what if you use a swimbait such as a reaction innovations skinny dipper?
  9. Practice is great...as long as you are practicing properly. I second the earlier suggestion to spend some cash and take some lessons from a professional instructor. REPEATABLE FORM is everything. good luck.
  10. Hi all. I read ...somewhere....that Brent Ehler adds a cut tail worm to the back of his lucky craft wake baits? I remember that he added a hitchhiker or owner CPS pin to the split ring...but I don't remember if he left the back hook on? I If so, does the worm go over or under the hook? Any other modifications you guys make with your wakebaits?
  11. Never thought about the sleeves. Thanks for sharing your system
  12. I appreciate everyone commenting on their experience with different brands. I have never tried either the gloves or the buffs, but I am going to use both this season.
  13. Thanks Travis for the suggestion. I currently have roughly 40-50 Flambeau 3700 boxes, and do not wish to replace them. I am thinking if I drill holes in the bottom of them to see if it allows water to drain out and/or evaporate through the bottom?
  14. do you use the simms gloves with no palms? which buffs do you prefer and why?
  15. i have caught quite a few catfish at night using a black jointed jitterbug...a few have been 5-7 lb range.
  16. Thanks A-Jay. Do you use the Simms gloves that have the open palm?
  17. I thought about that too...I am worried about cracking the boxes while trying to drill them?
  18. which sun protection gloves do you use? How do they hold up? do they allow you to maintain a good grip on your rod/reel? do they allow you to grip rod/reel when wet? Which buff do you use ? do any allow you to breathe without fogging up your sunglasses?
  19. Good point..I am thinking about drilling holes in the bottom...the bottom of my tacklebag is waterproof...so water coming up from the bottom is not a great concern...but you raise a good point
  20. Thanks A-Jay. I always open up my boxes when I get home to let my tackle air dry, but even then i find a little rust now and then. I have also added dessicant packets which seems to help, but doesn't seem to eliminate rust completely
  21. Do you guys drill holes in your plano plastic boxes (3600, 3700) to allow drainage for water? If so, how big a hole do you drill? how many? where on the box do you drill them? Thanks in advance.
  22. worked in retail grocery for 17 years. Worked with some really great people, and while it was not all fun, I look back on these times fondly.
  23. Mike, do you use an ultrasonic cleaner to soak the bearings? or do you just "swirl" them around in a cup? Thanks for the help.
