  1. i just bought an anchor for like $15 at gander....it seems a lot easier than getting cement, mixing it and making your own and probably in the same price range
  2. nah, i think that might make it very difficult to steer at all
  3. The raiders are very light and the back end tends to spin the boat when you make turns....the rudder cuts this down substantially....It wont prevent you from getting blown by the wind
  4. I was also warned by a Harbor Freight salesman that you cannot register these trailers until they are inspected since you build it yourself...He said its a thorough inspection that can cost another few hundred....I just went and got a utility trailer and that way i have more uses for it as well.
  5. not at my gander mnt !
  6. yea, its over, it was the daily special....Even the $13.99 price is a sale for me! i usually pay 17.99 for 150 yard spool at gander. I picked up the 500 yards for $29 - killer deal for me.

  10. im looking into picking up a swim jig rod and have my choices between the Powell: Powell Swim Jig Rod Or the Falcon Cara : Falcon Swim Jig Rod Anybody have experience with either one? Preference? or have any other recommendations? Between these two, price is not an issue since there is only a $10 difference. Its going to be paired with a Curado 51e
  11. I have a small spray bottle...Maybe 1 oz...what i learned is a small amount of dish detergent (1 squirt) then fill it halfway with water and then the rest with the alcohol - spray and rub.....Any spots left over, take a shop towel and wet it thoroughly with vineger and lay that tightly on the screen for 2 minutes. My screen was a mess and after this it is spotless. I took this whole routine from an episode of Bass Pros this season.
  12. I used to get Bass Zone and Bass Edge all the time from itunes but it looks like they stopped about 8 months ago. I always looked forward to them

  21. I saw this video a year or two ago and started using this technique. It really works great and saves a lot of time.... To the threadstarter....Your almost there! stick to it, you will be glad you did - we have all been in your shoes when first starting. Believe it or not, its going to get so easy for you pretty soon! just make sure your breaks and cast control arent too "open" for now.
