Learning to play the guitar
Depending on what you want to be able to do at least a few lessons in the beginning will help immensely! I would say start out with a decent guitar, even borrow one if you dont want to spend a lot of money right away...I would stay away from an acoustic in the beginning unless that is really the kind of music you are interested in...they are harder to play - harder to press the strings - to a beginner with no finger callouses this can be pretty painful and you end up not sticking with it because its just not enjoyable. Same thing with a cheaper electric guitar - they are usually setup incorrectly and have high strings..>A good guitar is very important, a poorly setup guitar that is hard to play will just make you want to put it down.

Depth finder spliced into Trolling motor power
what is the smallest battery i could get to keep up front for this then? A motorcycle battery has been mentioned....the smaller the better though - i'll only be out a couple hrs at a time on this thing anyway so i dont need a lot of battery. thank you for all the advice so far

Depth finder spliced into Trolling motor power
Ive had some pms about this with some folks here (thank you) but am still concerned of the safety. i have a Bassraider 8E with one input for electric up front...I want my trolling motor and depthfinder up front as well....Is it at least safe to twist the two together in one plug for the input? some say it will distort and some say it wont and i just want to see how many of you guys have any experiance or if you have any advice to get power for both devices...I wanted to keep it neat and not run a cable to the back if at all possible.

painting a new Pop-R
Big M, thank u for the reply and the blow dryer idea but i promise you i didnt spray to thick....I was at least 12 inches from the lure when spraying and went side to side with the spray - never pointed directly still on the lure......even this light coat would immediately start running off the lure...the only thing i can think of is the black is a gloss and made it too slick for the other paint to stick ?

painting a new Pop-R
Well, this didnt turn out so good - haha...The sanding and black came out ok, its when i decided to add stripes down the side that everything went wrong...This paint would not hold and kept running off, when it dried it looks cracked - even tried a few extra coats...Heres a few pics, any idea what went wrong and why this didnt work and what i need to do to make it work?
