  1. Bass West and Bass Anglers Guide are great mags
  2. thats another thing, I saw Clear spooks at the store....Doesnt this make it harder for the fish to find it? im guessing these might be for daytime ultra smooth surface
  3. Curious to see what colors are successful for you guys when fishing topwater.....I cant seem to even get bit unless its black or a darker green (Buzzbaits, bronzeye style frogs, spooks, rage shad \ toad) and some baits out there use some bright colors, any luck with these colors?
  4. yea, lots of experiance with them! must of been a lemon or got dropped pretty hard or something...Ive never had an issue, thats one of the things that keeps me using war eagles is that they always run great

to be honest when fishing the shad on top , I dont think anything is gonna hit it that wouldnt take a buzzbait anyway and the hookups are better with a buzzbait for me. Also, until you get the hang of not setting the hook too soon - dont watch your bait! that really helped me and now i got nerves of steel with topwater
  7. A senko, because i cant catch fish on jigs...for me a senko produces and a jig doesnt
  8. Ive heard people say this before and i don't know what you mean. My baitcasters are lefty...My reels are "palmed" when i cast. I have no repositioning of my right hand at all when i start reeling with my left hand.
  9. a similar thing to a pond Ive been fishing...Ive been getting there when its starting to get dark....Ive been getting a 15 minute window to fish a Buzzbait around it and they have been hitting that well....throwing a wacky rigged senko into pockets is doing good to - no surprise there
  10. the grandmaster = A Schwenko !
  11. Once the icast show is done, on the average - how long does it take before the products are available
  12. Boyd is dropping the Carrot stix due to: strong disagreements over construction of the Carrot Stix series rods and because of the financial instability of the Toronto, Canada-based company
  13. I always use EWG and dont have any problems that i know of...I lot of people say the straight shank offer better hook-ups for texas rigging worms
  14. if your friends think you have enough, you probably do...I know we always want more but in your position I think I would ask a hot girl out for the night for sure 8-)
  15. swinging a 4lb-er!? I wont swing anything that appears to be 16" or more
  16. other: XCalibur Xr50 I recently picked up the Sebile Flat Shad but have not had a chance to throw it yet, looks nice though
  17. nothin better than waiting for a hot day and taking the goggles and flippers for a little swim
  18. Are these places you fish very productive? are other guys catching a lot? some lakes are just tough and over-fished...I mean, if you really think your fishing the right spots and have the technique right - you should be getting bit...I know I have 1 lake nearby that I can spend all day on for just a few bites - and i get those bites because i know the lake well..Ive seen good tourny guys get skunked time after time so maybe its just tough waters
  19. Pickerel and more Pickerel
  20. Hey Natural, My problem with Hot sauce is at both ends of the temp range. In cold temps (below 45), I found that it gummed up on me. On the other end of the thermometer (about 85+), it thins out and really caused the reel to scream on a cast (even the first time out after a cleaning). Any where between those 2 ranges I mentioned, I didn't have a problem with it. Fair enough, though I'm surprised to hear that Hot Sauce would gum up being as thin as it is. I definitely wouldn't recommend the Sauce or Yellow Rocket Fuel for folks that only break down their reels once a year; both are just too thin to keep your bearings protected that long. There is a reason the factory packs them so full of grease and oil; the average user doesn't flush as often as they should. Natural, when you say "Flush" are you completely gutting your reels - cleaning and re-lubing? Or just lubing up specific areas?
  21. got my first boat last year.... a 1997 17' aluminum Bass tracker....and unless the water is dead calm your always working the trolling motor...gets pushed around very easy....I'm glad to be on the water but its hard work and i cant wait to be able to upgrade to a heavier glass boat.
  22. X2! As soon as my line starts holding spool memory I spray it on and next day it poker straight! Casting a mile and not over-running...I cant believe it doesn't do that for some people.
  23. I am a Brown fan and even though the first fight was a fluke (Fabers fault for sure for making that mistake) I thought Brown would just be too strong and win it....He did win of course but a little weak that he could not finish Faber with one badly broken hand and the other very hurt.....No injury and im sure Faber would have taken this one.

I wouldn't move that quick. First, since he is your buddy, ask if he minds if you ask out his ex-girlfriend....Its one of life's codes: you dont go out with a buddy's ex - Unless they weren't really serious and he doesn't care.....He will probably say "go for it".....Then just ask her to a movie or something and things will just move forward from there.
