  1. Hey big phish...nice list, you must work for state government.
  2. Falcon is right...y'all got nothin' to whine about. Cubs fans..maybe, but the rest of you with your 20,30,40 yrs of nothing is like a day on the lake for me.
  3. I started using fries this year (had some - just never used them.) I use a smaller "hp" hook (clip removed), mash a small splitshot near the eye, and 2-ton epoxify (?) the lead. Then rig the fry wacky...
  4. I can't answer questions 1 thru 3, but yes on #4. I wouldn't care to run in reverse all the time....
  5. Pay no attention to my gramar errors...i was distracted.
  6. Well Tim, i'm sorry to tell you that there are no spotted bass in mich. Did you mean smallmouth? I know they're in their , i've fished that lake over 100 times, and have caught some nice there. Later....
  7. Go with spinning. On the windiest days you can still use that spinrod.
  8. Great thread. I love dogs. Please keep the pics coming. I love cats too and would like to see a thread on them also..
  9. Somewhat sad. (is that allowed?)
  10. For me,those 2 baits usually need 2 different rods.
  11. I have chartruese soft plastics that are not translucent Catt.
  12. I think that the day on a lake is about the only thing worth reading in bassmaster anymore. I don't care what brands of lures they use, but where, the type and why. Lets say 3 boats are fishing a main-lake weededge. The first boat thru fishes a crankbait and gets nothing. The next boat is fishing a jig and he zeroes also. The third guy is using a worm and catches 4 fish. Was it the worm? Who knows? Maybe the fish weren't there when the first 2 boats went thru. Or maybe they didn't feel like eating. Was it the cloud that came over for #3, or rattles in his crankbait for #1, or not the right trailer for #2? I think it has more to do with luck (right time & place) than our choice of baits. jmho...later
  13. Michigan, Kentucky, and a fly-in to white river Ontario.
  14. Stop it Sir Snook....everyone knows the lions are GOING NOWHERE....
  15. The "mighty mouse" bit always cracked me up.
  16. Yes, the last 3 or 4 off - season shannanigans can drive one to cuss, but if someone is willing to pay and play him, why should he stay retired? It's his life, not your wishes my friends. Plus, i get to yell at him again this year!
  17. 10 rods at 6'6"? Mix it up a little, no wait, too late now. Your fine.
  18. The reason they cost more, Tommy, is because there are so many more parts in a 4 compared to a 2 stroke, not because they are better. It IS a royal pain squeezin' the bulb a couple times before the first time i turn the key. Oh and i hate the hours on end it takes me to pull and clean a couple of spark plugs once a month. I love my '96 evinrude 50 hp 2 stroke, may she last forever.....
  19. Al and his raiders. I must respectively disagree with those who claim the Lions. Yes, Ford took advantage of this football - crazed town back in the 60's, 70's 80's, and some of the 90's, but i think that there is no owner out there that wants to win as much as he does. He just doesn't know how. Quit and let your boy run the team.
  20. Lions. Seriously. You did ask for surprise teams, right? Just wait. I have been waiting since i was 5 months old...(1957) Not too surprising if any other team makes the playoffs.
  21. i don't drink.
  22. In order of #'s caught: Kinami flash 4" char/whi lam., home-assembled spinnerbaits including my own version of "drop dead fred",xps dropshot minno (spring) blk/blue lam. razor worm (summer) on dropshot rig, 1/8 oz. chatterbait with various soft plastics (no skirt), dd22, flat maxx (shallow) in perch, 4" white curlytail grub on 1/8 oz slider head, deep wee r in craw, and bunches of other soft plastics and cranks.
  23. Thuggish? I would like to think inhumane would be a better word. Even thugs don't kill their dogs....
  24. Give him a big hammer and let him at it....
